A brief encounter turned into a collaboration on the new Rolling Stones album.
At Metropolis, thatâs the magic, world-class artists crossing paths, unexpected conversations, and moments of creativity happening naturally under one roof.

It was a pleasure to host the legendary Stones at our studios for the recording of this soon-to-be iconic album. An honour to play a part in the creative process behind another chapter of music history.
The countdown to July 10th begins.

Foreign Tongues, the long-awaited new album from @therollingstones was recorded across the full footprint of Metropolis Studios.
Studio A formed the centre of the session, with guitar amps isolated in Studio B via looms, bass cabinets distributed through the lounge and into the atrium, and Mick Jaggerâs harmonica tracked into the open space.
Rather than a single space, the recording extended through the studios, captured live, with the band playing together throughout.
The album hits shelves July 10th.

Great to see the Metropolis Studios team at this yearâs MPG Awards.
A special shoutout to our talented engineers Matt Colton (@puttingitonwax ) and Mike Hillier (@mikehillier ), who were nominated on the night as Mastering Engineer Of The Year and Atmos Mixer Of The Year, respectively. Their nominations speak to the depth of their expertise and the care they bring to every project and represent meaningful recognition from peers across the industry for their contribution to some outstanding records.
Weâre also proud to have contributed to the War Child album, which received the MPG Impact Award. Itâs a project we were honoured to support, helping amplify work that uses music to drive meaningful change.
Congratulations to all the winners on the night.
