🐦 Zwermen/Murmuation official trailer! 🪽 En eindelijk kunnen we jullie nu naast beeld ook een klein stukje van de te gekke soundtrack laten horen die @roosbeef en @sjoebrui voor ons hebben gemaakt ♥️ Wij hopen snel nieuws te hebben over de première! 🤩
Het logo en de naam lagen al een tijdje klaar, maar nu is er dan ook een website voor Tim en Janneke samen: Murmuranimation.nl, met al onze mooie projecten van de afgelopen jaren op een rijtje. Het is vrijdagmiddag, het weekend lonkt, je bent toch al afgeleid, dus neem een kijkje! (Link in bio) 💫
Sinds we samen MurMur heten, houd ik (Janneke) twee accounts bij. Het idee was om het oude zakelijke account (Jannekefilmt) op slot te doen en wat persoonlijker te laten, en op MurMur enkel onze werkupdates te delen. Maar ik vind het toch een beetje kaal zo..! En zakelijk en privé.. nou ja, dat loopt hier nogal door elkaar. 🙃 Voor de mensen die ons (nog) niet persoonlijk kennen; Tim en ik werken vrijwel altijd samen aan onze animaties, maar zijn ook privé al bijna 15 jaar samen! We wonen in Maastricht met onze hond Robin van zeven jaar en ons dochtertje Ida van 16 maanden. Hier een klein foto overzichtje. Zijn er nog vragen? 🙋🏼♀️
Last week, we had a wonderful time in Stuttgart @itfs_festival_stuttgart ♥️ We are so happy the festival was so wel welcoming to our daughter Ida as well, thinking with us and even gave her a ‘Young professionals’ pass (which she was very proud of 🥹).
Could we have seen more films without her? Definitely. Networking was not always convenient and we might have missed some talks and programs.. But hey, she definitely brake the ice in some conversations as well! Without her we would’ve never visited ‘Märchengarten Ludwigsburg’ (wouldn’t have missed it!!) and with some more practice, she can do our next Filmmakers talk ;)
On top, we received a special mention and some beautiful words from the jury @hiskohulsing , Vera Neubauer and Melanie Beisswenger ♥️ Thank you so much!
April was such a nice month, with some super nice selections, awards even and our first expo! 🤩 It was great to get the Zwermen cast out of their boxes to show a little BTS to everyone visiting @piff.playgrounds :)

Oooh we wilden het niet jinxen, dus we hebben er nog weinig over bericht: het afgelopen half jaar hebben we gewerkt aan de ontwikkeling van ‘Duizend Vadem’, een animatiefilm van 30 minuten in het kader van Zapp Animatie campus! Benny Lindelauf schreef een prachtig script gebaseerd op het verhaal Duizend vadem uit zijn boek Hele verhalen voor een Halve Soldaat. Een verhaal waar wij meteen toen we het lazen een film in zagen.
Gelukkig was producent @peter_lindhout ook enthousiast en @omroepvpro zag er ook wat in! Met een klein team en onder begeleiding van dramaturg Marieke Mols ontwikkelden we ons plan. Wat was het heerlijk om weer poppen te bedenken, te schetsen en een studiootje te maken in ons atelier. Gisteren kwam het verlossende woord: we mogen onze film gaan realiseren!! Wat een ongelooflijk nieuws, we zijn zo blij!

Has @kaboomfestival 2026 touched you? 🤩 it was the question in @brittraes ’ guestbook for the festival, with this years theme ‘Human touch’.
As an animation film student at the Kask in Gent, Janneke volunteered at the former HAFF festival. As a guide for the short film jury members (as Igor Kovalyov, Gregory Barsamian, Steven Subotnik and Marc James Roels 😁), she saw the whole short film program for two years in a row. It would be a dream to be there with a film by herself, but her graduation film didn’t get selected. How happy and proud we were to be there in 2016 with a small 2D project: Mijndert. The poster from that years’ festival by Blexbollex still has a good spot in our living room. ♥️ When HAFF festival combined with KLIK! Festival to Kaboom in 2019, we visited almost every year to visit the industry days, to meet animators and watch a lot of animation films. But we ourselves were always the filmmakers that were working on a project.. never had something to show.
It was so nice of Kaboom to already invite us to tell a bit about Zwermen during the Industry days of 2025. Little did we know by then: the film was just finished, but waiting for a premiere. One year later, we won Best Dutch Short at our beloved @kaboomfestival and couldn’t be more TOUCHED 🤩

There are quite some children’s festivals in our festival run and it is so nice to see that a younger audience enjoys this film about elderly people as well! Alweer twee weken terug, maar het moet toch even gevierd en vermeld! Zwermen won in eigen provincie een van zijn mooiste awards op het @limburgfilmfestival voor beste professionele kortfilm! Omdat Zwermen zeer van het Limburgs doordrenkt is, zijn we hier SUPER trots op natuurlijk 🥰 De jury schreef zulke mooie woorden, daar stijgen we spontaan een beetje van op..
ENG Two weeks ago, Zwermen won a beautiful vlaai award (formed as a Limburgian pastry) in our home province @limburgfilmfestival . We couldn’t be more proud! 🤩

KIEN! Zwermen is genomineerd in de categorie Beste Korte fictiefilm op het @limburgfilmfestival ! Zondag 18 januari draait onze stop motion film, die zich afspeelt in een Limburgs verzorgingshuis weer in eigen provincie! ♥️ om 12.30u te zien in het filmblok ‘In (t) Leave’ in @denieuwescene Venlo! Janneke is aanwezig voor een nagesprek. Wie zie ik daar? 🤩
