HOWLS est un court-métrage qui raconte l’histoire de Shobee, un seigneur déchu en quête de vengeance. Depuis 2019, beaucoup prévoyaient la fin de @shobeeshayfeen . Je l’ai vu tomber dans la colère et le doute. Puis cette colère s’est transformée en esprit de revanche, le sujet principal de son premier album solo. Pour donner du relief à cette histoire, j’ai voulu lui donner l’aspect d’un récit légendaire, intemporel, truffé de références culturelles et d’histoire marocaine, à la représentation fédératrice : - La poésie populaire pré-islamique (4). Eteindre la complexité, aller vers l’universel. La vie, la mort, la joie, la peur. - Utiliser la figure de conteur, du 7layqi (2,3). Nass El Ghiwane/Tayeb Seddiki. Le langage, darija soutenue et populaire, imagée et martiale qui inspire le rire comme la crainte. J’ai eu l’immense joie de travailler avec un de mes héros, l’acteur/réalisateur Faouzi Bensaidi, qui a co-écrit avec moi et interprété les voix off de l’album et du film. Grâce à @jeanne_vicerial , ce conteur a aussi une enveloppe corporelle.
- Rougui Bou Hmara (8,9), un seigneur sécessionniste de la fin du 19ème siècle, vaincu et humilié en place publique à Fes dans une petite cage cubique à roulettes, reproduite pour l’occasion dans le clip. J’ai appris pendant le tournage du film que la mine de fer qu’il a vendu aux Espagnols, suscitant la colère du roi et précipitant sa chute était précisément celle où on a tourné ! 
- Le tapis berbère azilal (5,6). Je voulais que le film s’ouvre avec le conteur face à un tapis qui raconte en son sein l’intégralité de l’histoire. Une fois les éléments et la disposition définis, j’ai réalisé un sketch et aidé par @sophialami , j’ai demandé à une coopérative de Khemisset de le réaliser pour nous.
- Ahidous (7),utiliser le chant mystique et guerrier des femmes du Rif comme bande-son de la résurrection de Shobee.
- Boujloud (10) carnaval populaire du Sud du Maroc où les jeunes se déguisent en chèvres pour faire peur aux enfants. En faire les ennemis de Shobee dans le film. 
Merci à @kamiltahiri , sa bouche comme la mienne a encore le bon goût du charbon. A @likinsssss qui s’est embarquée dans cette histoire de son côté du monde.

Série réalisée pour l’artwork et la promotion du premier album de @dioscures.0602 . Grâce à Szilveszter Makó, Simone Gammino et leurs équipes, on a pu mettre un visage sur Ciela, la créature mi-femme mi-poisson qui est l’heroïne de l’album. The first Africa Cup of Nations I ever watched was the 1998 edition in Burkina Faso. Mustapha Hadji’s scissor kick against Egypt, forever engraved in the minds of Moroccans. The painful elimination against South Africa. Chippo’s own goal. But more than the results, what stayed with me is how that competition opened my childhood eyes to the vastness of the African continent. Today, the Africa Cup of Nations has become a global event. Teams are more competitive than ever, stars perform at world-class level, and the tournament now reaches audiences across the globe. It is in this spirit of expansion that @caf_online organized two events in Paris and London at the end of last November: a trophy tour celebrating African football, its icons, and its culture. I had the honor of leading the creative direction for this project, alongside an exceptional team. Those who know me know how critical I am of the way football is used in my country as a soft-power tool, or as a distraction from pressing social issues affecting the Moroccan people. Yet contributing—even at my own scale—to the presence and recognition of African football on European soil was a genuine honor. It aligns fully with the vision of decentralizing the Western predominance in entertainment and culture I have carried from day one, starting with @naar_____ . Stage and creative direction for @ghali ’s GRAN TEATRO show. 🎪 A two-hour concert featuring 50 performers, 120 costumes, and a multitude of colliding worlds. Using the aesthetics of Western circus to explore war, politics, and the figure of the monster. We tried to create a show where entertainment and drama are inseparable, as it is already the case in our daily lives. This show is the product of multiculturalism, and was performed in a country that is just beginning to discover it. Thanks to @dazedmiddleeast for making me part of the @dazed MENA 100. I’m really honored to be part of this list and community, amongst people I love and consider as cultural brothers/sisters in arms like @meriembennani @mothannahussein @furmaan.ahmed etc. Thanks for this opportunity to be able to reflect on the values I have been carrying in my work for the last 10 years. KINTSUGI by @dinospichichi is out. I was really honored to do the global creative direction for this amazing, powerful project. It was a crazy journey along with one of the strongest teams I ever worked with. I couldn’t be more grateful to have been part of this.
