This is my goodnight suite from my sold out show @joespub . If you had told the little girl who was so attached to the film as a revelation of her personhood and fully traumatized by doing a production of the musical, that she’d be singing from The Color Purple in front of a sold out audience at her own show she’d cry herself to sleep. Because she couldn’t believe her life would ever allow her to be anything more than what she was. So this is my gift to her and to you all. Thank you so very much to everyone who came out or bought tickets or sent flowers or even shared the poster. This has been such a wild ride and I’m not sure I’ll ever have the words but I do want to thank my band @zamboni_updates@willshish@not_dragging my MD @saulmicahnache and my Double Chocolate Divas @zacharyamyers@thefreeactorvist . And of course a big thank you to @mxviv for giving me the chance to do my thing. I’ll drop more stuff soon but please enjoy and look what God Has Done.

This is Off Cloud 9. A short that I made, commissioned by @breakingthebinarytheatre . It was featured in their digital Zine this year. I got great help from @gatekeeper90@bruciebabyxoxo & @matthewplacek . I love the three of them dearly and I’m really proud of this one. I’ll see what I can do with she but in the meantime, enjoy. Also, this is what it was paired with in the Zine: When you head for Cloud 9 are you running towards something or away from something? Either is a valid answer, but it tells me where your eyes are locked. And if you can hit the goal what was the price? Was it something shiny or something that went without a sound? No matter what thing is running across the back of your mind at the question, you’re staring down the barrel of the choice. The only thing left is the after. #cinema #oscars #movies #screenwriters
Before I start posting more opening pics I just wanted to drop some gems from rehearsals. My coworkers are so tired of me but I say all the time theater is a team sport. It’s so true. So much of this process has been all crunch and looking someone in the eye to make the ride less scary. Between reunions with old friends and making new ones. I really want to hold on to the feeling of my first Broadway show. This time I’m not captioning the photos. I’ll let the subjects speak for themselves. Love y’all and I feel so lucky to take this ride with these people. Together wherever we go cuz several of you are stuck with me for life 😊.
