Across New York, nonprofit newsrooms are filling critical gaps, covering communities, sharing vital information, and strengthening democracy. At MNN, this work is made possible by providing free access to media tools, training, and platforms that empower communities to tell their own stories.
But nonprofit media outlets are currently excluded from key state support programs. As budget negotiations continue, we’re calling for equitable funding that includes nonprofit journalism, ensuring these essential voices can continue to grow and serve the public.
Because every community deserves to be informed.
