Sunday’s Mad River Triathlon brought out some incredible athletes! 💪 People of all ages ran, boated, biked, and even skied through the spring day in @themadrivervalley Bravo to the @friendsofthemadriver @mad_river_path @madriverriders @mrvbcski for keeping the tradition alive. 👏 Our schedule kept us from documenting the ski portion of this race, but important to note that this is America’s only four-sport triathlon! 🤩 What a cool place we live in. @friendsofthemadriver @mad_river_path @madriverriders @mrvbcski @themadrivervalley @valleyreporter @lukefoleyvt @kintzbobby

We've nailed down the date - this Monday March 30 - so grab your sunscreen and skins for one last hurrah! We'll pop up the MRVBC tent and fire up the grill to serve up some burgers and dogs - you bring your friends, stories, and stoke.  This will be a great chance to hear about all that MRVBC has going on: a new BC zone, a new youth program, our slot at Lawson's as a SIP recipient, and of course all the events and workshops we will serve up again next year.  Want to get involved or give feedback to help us shape sustainable human powered winter recreation??  Come on out and hang with us!  If you plan to join the group on the uphill tour, please email Keith  ([email protected]) for the details.  Otherwise just show up in the parking lot starting around 5pm.   And a huge shout out to @sugarbush_vt , one of our amazing sponsors who has supported and hosted so many of our events season over season!

This one goes out “To the 5 Boroughs” (and the rest of New York state, we guess). The Mad River Triathlon is happening on April 12, and you’re invited. We’re just 5.5 short hours from NYC, which is just about how long it takes to get from one side of Manhattan to the other during rush hour. For a limited time only, use the code ‘big apple’ for a 15% discount on registration for the Mad River Triathlon. Our next triathlon sponsor shoutout goes to @madbushfalls ! If you’re traveling from out of town and needing a place to stay for this year’s Triathlon, we hope you’ll consider booking a room at Madbush Falls. Not only does it offer amazing rooms, a fantastic restaurant, and on-site saunas, but it is also the host of our bib pickup on the Saturday before the Triathlon, and an awesome pre-race presentation from Ben Morton about the @riostorivers initiative. Madbush Falls graciously donates 50% of all proceeds from room rentals for the weekend to the Triathlon, and @savu.sauna will be offering a discounted sauna hour for Triathlon participants after the race! Thank you @madbushfalls !

Triathlon sponsor shoutout: @sugarbush_vt ! Sugarbush has been an instrumental partner for the triathlon since its inception in 1979! We are thrilled to continue that partnership nearly 50 years later. In addition to providing the venue for the ski leg and after party at Mount Ellen, Sugarbush assists by managing snowmaking for the route, providing ski patrol and safety assistance, and helping us spread the word. If you ski in a Drake Maye jersey, are on a first name basis with the servers at Dunks, refer to anything as “wicked pissah”, or drive a vehicle with one of those godforsaken white license plates, have we got a springtime event for you! For a limited time only, our friends from Massachusetts will receive a 15% discount on registration for the 2026 Mad River Triathlon. Just use the coupon code ‘masshole’ at checkout. 💚🍀
