When I tell you I actually don't quite know how to feel right now... If you would have told me I'd have the opportunity to interview THE LEGENDARY @willpowerpacker with @head2toemag at the @atlantafilmfestival Image Film Award Gala presented by @atlfilmsociety and @georgia_entertainment_news and sponsored by @assemblyatlanta and @nbcuniversal I don't know if I would have believed you! But I did!!! The Box Office Powerhouse behind hits like @youmetuscany , Fight Night, @girlstripmovie ,Think Like a Man / @thinklikeaman too , and Stomp The Yard to name a few was Honored with the Ossie Davis Award last night. I literally grew up watching and learning from his work and he's a key part of the reason I'm so passionate about filmmaking today. Also at the Gala, a new award "The Will Packer Award" was announced to recognize outstanding achievements in producing. Will Packer's legacy is so ingrained in Atlanta history and having him share some keys to his success with me was EVERYTHING 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 Thank you for all the gems shared @willpowerpacker and for being such an inspiration. Feeling so blessed to be able to say I rubbed elbows with some of the entertainment industry’s most talented stars (Grammy Winner & Oscar Nominated @thedaniellebrooks & NAACP Image Award Nominated @j_fonz ) at a screening of their film @ifigowilltheymissme at the @atlantafilmfestival 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 I hit the red carpet with @head2toemag and after the screening enjoyed a deep discussion /Q&A moderated by Producer Powerhouse @doctalove12 where @thedaniellebrooks was honored with the 2026 New Mavericks Award 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾The discussion gave so much to local artists like myself who look up to @thedaniellebrooks and @j_fonz ! They let us know how they stay grounded in the work and in life, why telling stories that go unheard is so important, and also opened up about what the grind really looks like and how important it is to wear multiple hats.
