YOO!! Did y’all catch this on BET?! Your boy is presenting awards and giving speeches these days! Just as little me said he would. In January, I was invited to present the Social Justice Award to someone so deserving, @activistmonicaramirez ,at the MLK Jr. Beloved Community Awards—while both @violadavis and @billieeilish looked me right in the eyes🙂‍↕️. Because that happens every day, right? If the night wasn’t already special, I was introduced by Anika Noni Rose and Aldis. @anikaaroundtheworld probably won’t remember this, but I was a background extra on her show, The Quad back in 2016. In the scene, her character simply walks past me in a dorm hallway (she was the college president). It was the fastest two seconds of screen time, but the hood WENT UP🙂‍↕️🤣🙌🏾🔥. Now, 10 years later, that same woman introduced me at an award show on national TV where I was invited for my work as an ACTOR. Bro, honored doesn’t begin to describe it. Growing up, my birthday was SELDOM made a big deal. I didn’t wake up to big smiles and hugs. Wasn’t greeted by balloons and hella presents (not that folks didn’t love me—they just didn’t always show it in ways that made an impression on me, as a child. And I’m sure there were other factors too like money, time, and knowledge). Even when I’d be celebrated, it’d feel half- baked. But in hindsight, I know love and joy there even if I couldn’t always recognize it #MINDSET🙌🏾. But oooo, my Grandma Susie: Momma would always sing me happy birthday — “Happy birffday dear Tannkkk…🥹” — and I really missed that this year. So on Monday, I drove down to “the country” to visit the land where her body rests. I was off work and could’ve been somewhere outta the country celebrating BIG, as they say. But that’s just not where my energy was. Instead, I went to see her. It was my gift to myself — the gift of presence. I sat there and ate my sandwich from Publix and a bowl of fruit as the wind blew and the country folks drove past, blowing horns. And all was well in my world. Even now, as a grown man, I turn into a bashful kid when folks sing me happy birthday because it takes me back to a place in time when that’s all I wanted. Boy, I tell ya… y’all are gonna learn a lot of beautiful things about me when I drop this book in the months to come. Thanks for all the bday love, Tuesday ❤️‍🔥

🎉I hit a humble 30K followers on IG a few days ago. Pretty cool stuff (small round of applause). But to any kids out there following me who have far less—who think this somehow makes me better, more worthy, or more valuable than you—just know… it doesn’t. Or shall I say, it shouldn’t. I get it—we place a lot of value on numbers, and they do matter in a lot of cases. But they don’t matter nearly as much in the grand scheme of things. JUST DO YOUR THING and be happy within, whether you have 30 followers or 30 million. 🌱💪🏾

Wow, man—I received my 1st piece of fan mail at the studio. Ain’t that something? Thanks a lot, Person X, for taking the time to write me and for sharing a bit about your background about how soaps brought comfort and fulfillment. It’s so wild, I can remember my ‘famous persona’ way back in the day —where I’d joke with the homies and say things like, “Nahhh,I’ll have my agent reach out to you!” and “Here’s my booking fee.” And, “Man, I have so much fan mail I have to read through🤧.” But these days it ain’t a joke. Look at God. They call it manifestation. I say its calling those things that be not as though they were #Bible 🙌🏾. This has really made me smile, man—and laugh at how funny life is. Very honored and appreciative of the gesture. That being said, you all can rest assured I WONT be giving fan mail updates going forward, but I did want to share the first piece because it’s a very special mark in my journey.✊🏾Also, yall, thanks again for the massive outpouring of love for the news about the show’s RENEWAL and all the conversation surrounding Sean
