I’m still glowing from @hollyshorts ! So a couple weeks ago something amazing happened, we won Best Central Coast Narrative Short at the @slofilmfest ! Look at how cool this award is? This meant we got a second encore screening as well to close out the festival. The SLO Film Fest was such a fun festival in the heart of downtown San Luis Obispo. Plus the people who run it are the absolute best! Can’t wait to go back to the festival again next year!

Had the pleasure of shooting three @humanizehernow episodes at the historic @hi_shangrila , and wow it was beautiful. Previously Doris Duke’s (once the richest woman in the world) home, now turned museum to showcase the gorgeous Islamic artwork she collected. We had to be careful even moving gear around because even the walls were pieces of art housing historic artifacts from the 17th to the 20th century. It felt so magical and surreal to be filming in this place and it’s hard to believe anyone lived here. I can only imagine what it’s like to wake up here every morning to the sound of the ocean just below. Grateful to the Shangri La team for giving us access to this beautiful space and teaching us about its history along the way.
Soooo… I threw a film festival at work with the help of @roguerene ! It’s the second year we’ve done it and it keeps getting better. Huge thanks to everyone at work who shared their work. 🎬
