When you’re building a movie you hope becomes a cult classic, the hero costumes really matter. For Turns Out It’s the Apocalypse… We Think, we approached wardrobe like the film was destined to be rewatched — quoted, referenced, and yes, turned into Halloween costumes. Part homage, part manifestation… why not.
Luckily, Natalie has a real gift for distilling iconic movie looks into something instantly recognizable and wearable. So when it came time to lock our hero costumes, it was kind of a no-brainer.

There is so much more to costuming a movie than just picking out cool clothes for your actors to wear. Who are your characters!? What are their tastes? Where are they emotionally in the story and how does that affect the clothes they would pick for themselves in that moment?
And after you make all those important decisions, how do you keep it all organized for something as massive as a feature film?! It’s a lot, but luckily, for our movie, Natalie is a pro at making good, grounded choices and keeping it all organized. We’re gonna walk you through her entire process and give you some insights on how we kept our little apocalypse flick moving forward despite how crazy the script was.
