I have been spending time looking at trees and reflecting on my relationship with city trees. This ongoing interest has led me to a symposium by the Master Industrial Design programme at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague. On April 2, I will be in conversation with Martina van der Vegt from the Municipality of The Hague, who works on urban greenery policy and tree management. Together, we will share interesting facts and stories about the trees in The Hague.
Three conversations. Three perspectives on what matter can be, do and become.

(Re)Shaping Matters: A mini-symposium by Master Industrial Design
Royal Academy of Art, The Hague
@royalacademyofart.thehague
Matter is never neutral. What we choose to work with – the body, the scent, the pigment, the wood, the soil, the seed, the story – shapes not only the objects we make, but the questions we are able to ask. Matter shapes what matters to us.
(Re)Shaping matters is a symposium about the conversation between hands and world, between what we make and what makes us.
In the afternoon of 2 April, Master Industrial Design opens its research to the public – to listen, to touch, to smell, to try – to talk with designers, makers, thinkers, and the experts from various fields in a shared afternoon of talks, small workshops and conversation at Kunstbar.
