Meet the DJs! July 4 // BistroFest 2026 🪩 We’re lucky to have such a strong music community in Ottawa, and it’s an immense pleasure to be able to help connect Ottawa to its local scene. We've got a special DJ lineup for this year at BistroFest and we'd like for you to meet the DJs 🥳 July 4, 7PM to 10PM, at the Hog’s Back Grill & Bistro: Marèva (1st pic) Atmospheric, emotive, and dance-driven. Marèva blends melody with organic textures, pulling from a wide cultural palette to build sets that feel immersive and intentional. Beyond DJing, she’s deeply involved in shaping the scene, co-producing events and sound spaces across Ottawa and Ontario, including WNDR and PRSMTC, and co-founding the B4CKROOM collective. MoS (2nd pic) Indie dance, tech house, progressive, techno, dark disco. Groove-forward and tightly controlled, with punchy basslines, warm melodies, and moments that land exactly where they should. Also a key force behind Ottawa’s underground scene, co-producing WNDR, Capital Noir, and PRSMTC, and co-founding B4CKROOM alongside Marèva. Fembotttt (3rd pic) Groove-heavy, playful, and unapologetic. Fembotttt builds sets that pull you in and don’t really let go. She’s on a mission to bring out sounds you didn’t know you needed, creating dance floors where people drop the act and just move. You might’ve caught her at Pull Up, Congrego, Catalyst, BodyTalk, Future Novas, or CKCU’s Live Off The Floor. She’s also behind HIVE and co-creates BODYSYNC, a music-forward spin and fitness experience. I usually say something about how I met the artists, but I haven't met the DJs and I am very excited! They came recommended with high praise from the EDM folks :) This event is happening a bit later and we'll have DJ lights to move our body to the sound of house music with the Sun down :) Get free tickets via www.bistrofest.ca to stay in the loop! All donations go directly to the artists and make a real difference ❤️ See you July 4 😎 Alex 🌌 @mareva_dj 🔥 @mosamity 🤖 @fembotttt 🍔 @hogsbackgrill 😎 @al_sam_music 🛠️ @the.klifford.skies.project 🛠️ @g5man . . . . . #ottawadjs #electronicmusic #ottawadance #ottawafreeevent #outdoordance

We’re pulling into March with the dream team Marèva and MoS. These two have been stirring up the scene in Ottawa and we’re stoked to host them this Friday. Expect a blend of sounds reaching to groovy, indie house. Drop in 10-2AM @mareva_dj @mosamity More on this evenings selectors ———•——— Marèva and MoS are life partners and DJs who have been breaking boundaries in Ottawa’s dance scene over the past three years. Marèva has introduced dance floors to her unique blend of deep, groovy bass, breakbeat, drum and bass, and, most recently, organic house and indie dance. Her sets incorporate careful pacing and texture that are meant to be felt, not just heard. MoS’s style can be described as hard-hitting, yet sassy! He creatively mixes indie dance, tech house, techno, progressive, organic house, and dark disco to create an experience that you didn’t know you needed until you’re in the middle of one of his sets. More recently, the two of them have teamed up to deliver a fresh sound that spans genres and gets people MOVING.  Beyond the DJ booth, they have co-produced DIY events and sound stages in Ottawa and around Ontario, including WNDR events, Capital Noir, Autumn Octave, and the Prismatic Reverie sound camp at Sideburn. They are also key members of the B4CKROOM collective, focused on grassroots dance culture and bringing deep, dark, and gritty sounds to the Ottawa music scene. 🎶4 weeks of carefully curated sound 🪩Every Friday | 10PM-2AM. 🎟No cover. Ever. 📍563 Bloor St West | Steps from the Bloor and Bathurst subway station 🍴Kitchen open all night @insomniatoronto #torontoculture #torontomusicscene #theannextoronto #house #latenighttoronto

Last night was my debut at @b4ckroom.ott , a very special and personal project we’ve been working on with a few friends lately. Our vision was to create an immersive, underground dance music experience for people who want to get lost in the dance, with no distractions. We do it at an intimate venue @cityannx , with minimal lighting, lots of fog, a phone-free dance floor and, of course, plenty of dark and gritty beats to take dancers on a journey! This project has given us and our local DJ friends the opportunity and space to express ourselves creatively and feel truly free behind the decks, sharing some of our favourite dark, quirky, groovy tunes we go 😤 to. And for me personally, it’s been a challenging and rewarding journey stepping into the 4-to-the-floor world and playing at night clubs. Coming into it with years of listening and dancing to house and techno, but devoting my focus as a DJ to bass music which remains my core passion and identity, I’ve been truly fortunate to be able to express that other side of me at this and other events these days. Making people move and feel emotions on the dance floor while getting lost in the music is my true passion, regardless of the genre. Working alongside people who genuinely share this passion and building B4CKROOM together has been truly special. So grateful to the talented collaborators and hope to see this project grow and offer space for creative expression to many other local artists. 🪩❤️‍🔥 @mosamity @justmadison @reseter_ofc @djchrisendo @embodiedpoly last four photos by @_curtisperry

This Thursday, Jan 8 - We are thrilled to welcome @mosamity debuting their sounds @b0dy_talk 🤍 let’s show them some love. MoS spins sets that are deep, groovy, and straight-up S A S S Y. Blending his favourite genres – Indie Dance, Tech House, Progressive, Techno, and Dark Disco – MoS delivers groove-forward sets designed to move *every* body in the room and keep the dancefloor locked in. As the set unfolds and new sounds emerge, each shift feels intentional, often landing exactly where it needs to. Beyond the booth, MoS plays an active role in shaping Ottawa’s underground scene. From co-creating the Prismatic Reverie sound camp at Sideburn to helping organize DIY events like WNDR, he’s committed to building intentional spaces where community, creativity, and care are as central as the music.
