The Combat Center recently hosted its 20th annual Job Shadowing event in partnership with Morongo Unified School District high schools, with 86 Students in attendance.
This recurring initiative is designed for students enrolled in Career & Technical Education (CTE) programs, providing them with hands-on exposure to federal career pathways directly related to their areas of study. As the largest employer in the Morongo Basin, the Combat Center is uniquely positioned to showcase these local, high-value career opportunities to the emerging workforce.

April is Month of the Military Child! Last week more than 100 Marines visited Condor Elementary School to celebrate some of our local military children.
As a district deeply rooted alongside the MAGTF Training Command/Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center at 29 Palms, we are privileged to serve the children of Marines and other military families. These students navigate a unique way of life shaped by deployments, training cycles, moves and long separations from loved ones. Through these challenges, they lead with strength, bringing diverse perspectives, experiences and a deep understanding of service and sacrifice to our community.
Thank you to all who participated in making this celebration so special and for helping uplift and honor our students in such a memorable way!

Groundwork Arts, in partnership with Joshua Tree Living Arts and the City of Twentynine Palms, is leading a special projectâa youth-driven Freedom Plaza Tile Mural that will become a permanent public artwork.
Students from schools in 29 Palms have been sharing their ideas. Now, weâre inviting the broader community to be part of it.
