Amazing news for an amazing project. The @studiogang -designed @spelman_college Mary Schmidt Campbell Center for Innovation & the Arts has been acknowledged with a 2026 Design Honor Award from @aiageorgia . It's no wonder why: Every part of the design balances theatricality and functionality, bringing clarity and atmosphere to a range of environments. Partnering on projects like this showcase how impact is made through collaboration, vision and blending the creative and the technical to create projects that shine. Congratulations to Spelman College, Studio Gang and all our partners on this transformative project. #LightingMatters #SpelmanCollege #StudioGang #AIAGeorgia #HBCU #Architecture #AIA

Museums are in the business of storytelling. Without the right lighting, the most powerful artifact in your collection can disappear into the wall. Lighting affects how people interpret the meaning of exhibits, how people linger in space, how people feel and remember your museum. At this year's American Alliance of Museums Annual Meeting in Philadelphia (May 20–23) we're asking: where does lighting matter most in a museum? If you'll be at @aamersofficial — come find us and tell us your answer. If you won't be there, tell us in the comments below! We want to hear from the people closest to these spaces. #LightingMatters #AAM2026 #MuseumDesign #ExhibitLighting #Morlights #ArchitecturalLighting #CulturalInstitutions

Lighting is often the last decision made in a design project. It's also the first thing a visitor, guest, or employee actually experiences. On Monday June 8 at @neocon_shows — 4:00–5:00 PM at the NeoCon Presentation Studio — Morlights CEO, Avraham Mor, will join a panel of high-profile lighting, interiors and design peers to discuss the growing awareness of the importance of lighting design in the built environment. Come be a part of the conversation the design industry needs to have. Register now for NeoCon! #LightingMatters #NeoCon2026 #LightingDesign #morlights #Illuminate #architecturallighting

At Morlights, we keep coming back to one question: Why is something as powerful as lighting still treated like an afterthought? Structural engineers are licensed. Architects are licensed. But lighting designers—whose work shapes how we see, feel, and function—aren’t held to the same standard. And it shows. When lighting is done right, everything changes: mood, energy, perception, memory. Lighting isn’t decoration; it’s infrastructure for experience. That’s why we’re watching @neocon_shows this June. The new Illuminated show is a big step toward putting lighting design in front of the people shaping the built world. We’ll be sharing more about Morlights’ presence at NeoCon soon. But like most things, it starts with conversation. And that conversation starts now with the latest episode of the #LightingMatters Podcast (link in bio). Turn it up. Turn it on. Let’s rethink what lighting can do. #LightingMatters #DesignDifferently #NeoCon #LightingDesign #Architecture #BuiltEnvironment

Earlier this month, more than 20,000 people lined up this month to snag tickets for the “Pokémon Fossil Museum” at @fieldmuseum . Working with our longtime partners at the Field, Morlights will serve as the lighting designer to make the connection clear between fiction and fossil, imagination and evidence. Originally developed in Japan for the National Museum of Nature and Science, the exhibition arrives in #Chicago this May, marking its first appearance outside of Japan. What does it mean for lighting design to have a shared language? At @iald 2025, this question - alongside nine essential others - were brought into conversation with peers across the lighting design profession. The latest #LightingMatters podcast, continues to push how lighting is positioned as a critical layer of how space, story and experience come together. At Morlights, that thinking is put into practice every day. We design differently. Because our process changes everything. Listen to the full #LightingMatters conversation at the link in bio. #LightingMatters #IALD #LightingDesign #MuseumDesign #DesignProcess

At @midatlanticmuseums ' #BuildingMuseums conference in Baltimore this week, we're focused on one question: "Where does lighting matter most in your museum?" It's a question that Morlights has been answering through our work with @chiarchitecture to @museum_of_the_rockies to @shedd_aquarium and cultural institutions across the country. Morlights designs differently, blending the creative and the technical with a process that changes everything. We understand that lighting shouldn’t compete with architecture or artifacts. It works in response to them — shaping how visitors move through space, encounter objects and experience story. Talk to us in Baltimore about your story! What is your space trying to say? #BuildingMuseums #LightingMatters #MuseumDesign #ExhibitionDesign

Morlights is heading to the @midatlanticmuseums #BuildingMuseums conference in Baltimore, March 11–13. Museums demand more than illumination. They require precision, vision and a deep understanding of how light shapes story, artifact and atmosphere. From our work with institutions such as Chicago's @fieldmuseum or Bozeman's @museum_of_the_rockies , we’ve seen how lighting influences visitor focus, strengthens donor environments and defines the emotional tone of an entire exhibition. If you’re attending Building Museums, let’s have a conversation about where lighting enters your process — and what changes when it does. Message us here to schedule a 15-minute discussion at our booth! #BuildingMuseums #LightingMatters #MuseumDesign #ExhibitionDesign

@neocon_shows is arguably the most important design-centric convening of the year. Over 50,000 designers across the AEC spectrum congregate in Chicago (this year's convention is June 8-10) to learn the latest about the most innovative products, approaches and designs across the building industry. This year, lighting takes center stage with the premiere of Illuminate at NeoCon, a new feature spotlighting architectural, technical, and decorative lighting. Morlights CEO, Avraham Mor, CLD, IALD, IES, LEED AP, recently sat down with @edisonreportnews to discuss the significance of this show-within-a-show foregrounding lighting design as a core feature of design. David Woody is the Vice President and Chief Creative Officer of Chicago's @msichicago . In this latest episode of the #LightingMatters podcast, Woody joins hosts Avraham Mor and Lisa J. Reed to discuss how a serendipitous COVID-era phone call led him back to Chicago and to MSI, the emergent South Museum Campus on Chicago's South Side and how light is an - if not, *the* - essential element in storytelling when it comes to exhibition design. Tune in, turn on, now! Link in bio. #LightingDesign #LightingMatters #Museum #MuseumDesign #ExhibitDesign

Just outside of Chicago, next to O’Hare, Rosemont has grown over its 70-year history from a small transportation hub into a regional destination. The @villageofrosemont @rosemonthistorymuseum tells that story. Morlights lights it. Opening this summer, the museum offers a revealing look at the village’s history. Our lighting design highlights artifacts, supports interpretive storytelling, and guides visitors through key moments in Rosemont’s evolution, connecting past and present. Lighting reveals. Lighting teaches. Lighting guides. Lighting Matters. #lightingmatters #lightingdesign #museumdesign #history #rosemont
