In the exhibition it sets a stage for their ideas and demands with a great spatial effect. Scale and scope as well as structural conflicts and potentials of these solidary practices are further explored in mappings and videos. What opportunities, obstacles and conflicts arise for solidarity in a migration society? How can new methods of working together strengthen democracy, especially bottom-up approaches? The exhibition is accompanied by a three-day international conference. Exhibition and conference are formats of the research project Transforming Solidarities in cooperation with selected Berlin initiatives. Seminar SoSe 26 Kiosk of Solidarity IV Collective Urban Practice in Contested Public Space The Kiosk of Solidarity is an urban practice format that intervenes in the contested social fields of work, health, and housing in Berlin. Since 2023, more than 30 solidarity-based initiatives have activated the kiosk over 50 times at locations in Berlin and beyond. It began as a spin-off of the Transforming Solidarities research project and has operated autonomously since 2024 within the Constructlab e.V. network. Through diverse formats, the kiosk brings together neighbors, activists, and other participants, temporarily transferring solidarity practices into public space. It creates visibility for marginalized groups (e.g., migrants, refugees, queer communities, people affected by addiction, and unhoused people) and connects them with other initiatives. Thus, the kiosk is solidarity-based space for encounter, protest, appropriation, mutual support, and participation in public space. Together with students from TU Berlin, the project team supports initiatives in realizing their kiosk ideas: designing posters, applying for permits, logistics, documentation, and financing. In 2026, the Kiosk of Solidarity (with the social designer Felix Egle @felix_e_gle ) is part of the World Design Capital 26 program in Frankfurt am Main, collaborating with initiatives around the Bahnhofsviertel district. Seminar participants will co-produce kiosk formats with local initiatives in Berlin and Frankfurt. Seminar readings introduce debates on solidarity in urban studies and the social sciences. Participants also reflect on the spatial and social impact of the kiosk. Funded by TD-Lab – Laboratory for Transdisciplinary Research of the Berlin University Alliance. Diese Posterserie entstand im Austausch mit Klient*innen der K9 (Hilfen für suchtkranke Menschen) in Frankfurt am Main kurz vor der Kommunalwahl am 15.03.2026. Ausgangspunkt war die Frage nach politischer Sichtbarkeit und Repräsentation im Bahnhofsviertel: Wie viele Menschen werden hier nicht wählen gehen – oder dürfen gar nicht wählen? Die partizipative Posteraktion versteht sich als Versuch, Menschen, deren Stimmen im politischen Diskurs oft fehlen, ein Format des Ausdrucks und Gehört-Werdens zu geben. Die von den Klient*innen der K9 entwickelten Slogans thematisieren Forderungen nach Akzeptanz, politischer Teilhabe und einem Ende von Stigmatisierung. Kurz vor der Wahl richtet die Aktion den Blick auf Nachbarschaft, Teilhabe und die Frage, wessen Stimmen in kommunalen Entscheidungsprozessen gehört werden. Mit Slogans wie ›Kommunalwahl ist Nachbarschaftswahl‹ oder ›Das Bahnhofsviertel wählt‹ entsteht so eine visuelle Intervention, die politische Beteiligung, Solidarität und die Perspektiven marginalisierter Nachbar*innen sichtbar macht. Die fertigen Poster wurden vor allem an Orten ausgehängt, die für suchtbetroffene und wohnungslose Menschen wichtige Anlaufstellen sind – darunter der Konsumraum Niddastraße (@idh_e.v ), die K9, der Tagestreff WESER5, die Bahnhofsmission, die Teestube Jona und das Schaufenster im Erdgeschoss des Mietshäuser Syndikat-Hausprojekts @nika.hausprojekt , sowie im öffentlichen Raum des Bahnhofsviertels selbst. Die Aktion fand im Rahmen des @wdc2026 – Design for Democracy statt und ist die erste Intervention des Projekts ›Kiosk of Solidarity X Bahnhofsviertel‹. Der Kiosk wird 2026 an verschiedenen Orten im Bahnhofsviertel intervenieren, als Plattform für Dialog, Begegnung und Wissenstransfer – in enger Zusammenarbeit mit Anwohnenden, Initiativen, Straßensozialarbeitenden, Suchthilfeeinrichtungen und suchtbetroffenen Menschen. Aber ja, manchmal nicht so einfach zu entscheiden: Welches Verhalten ist ok für mich in meiner unmittelbaren Umgebung, wo kann ich tolerant sein - und wo will ich mich einbringen und meine Nachbarschaft aktiv mit – und umgestalten, wenn etwas nicht passt? Wir sind ein interventionistisches Kunst-Projekt, initiiert aus dem neuen Nachbarschaftsverein A.u.t.o. e.V. in der Kurmärkischen Straße heraus in Zusammenarbeit mit der Drogennotdienst Berlin gGmbH, die das Bülow Eck betreibt und dem Kiosk of Solidarity. Wir denken, dass auch die Besucher*innen des Bülow Ecks, ein Café und Beratungsstelle für suchterkrankte Menschen, Teil der Nachbarschaft sind. Zugleich sehen wir die vielfältigen Konflike - direkt am Eck, aber auch generell in den öffentlichen Räumen in der Nachbarschaft. Daher werden wir eine Reihe interner und öffentlicher Interventionen umsetzen, um Dinge und Infrastrukturen vorzuschlagen. Und freuen uns über eure Teilhabe, Inputs, Themenvorschlägen oder konstruktiv-kritischen Kommentare. Esch Kiosk of Young Voices — Democratic Participation with Young Voices as Collective Care, Creative Pedagogy and Urban Intervention Tuesday, March 3rd 2026 18:30–20:00h Cultures of Assembly, 24 Rue du Brill, Esch-sur-Alzette Luxembourg Public presentation of the ongoing work on the Esch Kiosk of Young Voices with Moritz Ahlert (@kiosk.of.solidarity @habitatunit @institutfuerarchitektur ), Gustav Nielsen @gustavkvnielsen (@culturesofassembly ) & speakers from Centre Formida @centre_formida , followed by discussion with collaborators & audience. Esch Kiosk of Young Voices acts as a mobile civic platform within the framework of The Esch Clinics – Cultures of Assembly. It investigates how children and teenagers can actively participate in shaping urban futures through accessible, non-formal, and collective methods. Developed in an ongoing process over one year in close collaboration between Moritz Ahlert (Kiosk of Solidarity), Gustav Nielsen (Cultures of Assembly) and Centre Formida, the project centers on the co-creation and activation of an Esch Kiosk built by young participants as both a physical structure and a pedagogical device. From March 2026 the Esch Kiosk will operate as a small-scale, mobile architecture that allows its makers to explore the city of Esch-sur-Alzette while simultaneously creating temporary spaces of encounter. The Kiosk is built from recycled materials, such as discarded school tables, following circular economy principles practiced at Centre Formida. The Esch Kiosk will function as a listening device, an exhibition surface, and an informal assembly point. Through two parallel framing programs developed in collaboration with the teaching teams from Formida Echange, Formida Circular, and Formida Chance at Centre Formida, one designed for teenagers and one for younger children, the project explores the question of the future of Esch-sur-Alzette from a young perspective. Wieder wird ein Haus in Neukölln verkauft, wieder wird die #Hausgemeinschaft laut und kämpft um ihr zu Hause. Diesmal stehen wir am #Richardplatz und an der Seite der Mieter*innengemeinschaft @richhertz_bleibt Schon von Weitem sind die Transpis zu sehen, drauf steht "Rendite tötet den Kiez!". Der @kiosk.of.solidarity ist aufgebaut und leuchtet, ich freue mich diesen und @moritzahlert zu sehen. Beide symbolisieren für mich eine solidarische #UrbanePraxis und radikales Hoffen. Moritz stellt mich Elisa aus dem Haus an der Ecke Richardplatz/ Hertzbergstr vor. Wir kennen uns bisher nur vom Telefon und sie sagt: „Sabine, du warst die Erste, die ich angerufen habe. Danke für Deine Beratung!" Ich bin beschämt, weil es das Mindeste war was ich tun konnte und freue mich sehr, dass es der Hausgemeinschaft seitdem gelungen ist, sich zu organisieren. Ich hatte sofort an @jochenbiedermann , den Neuköllner Baustadtrat & sein Team verwiesen, weil er sich bisher für alle bedrohten Häuser eingesetzt hat. Er ist auch heute zur Kundgebung gekommen und fragt nach dem aktuellen Stand. Alle wissen die Frist läuft! Die Eigentümerin müsste sich umentscheiden, der Investor vom Kauf zurücktreten und eine Genossenschaft gefunden werden. Ich persönlich finde es eine Schande, dass sich, seitdem wir unser Haus 2017 retten konnten, strukturell nichts verbessert hat. Im Gegenteil, das #Vorkaufsrecht der Bezirke ist faktisch tot und die Kämpfe in den Kiezen sind noch härter geworden. Wir brauchen dringend eine Veränderung auf Bundesebene – und auch auf Landesebene müssen Wege aus dem Mietenwahnsinn und der Krise gefunden werden.
