Moonshot memories from 2025 🚀

A living question we carry everywhere, is the inquiry into what would happen if we got it right? At the @anifilmfestival in Liberec, earlier this month, our young leaders shared their vision for the future and what would happen if they got it right. We turn it over to you now. What would happen if you got it right?

At the @anifilmfestival , during our MoonshotX Liberec session, we facilitated two conversations with our young leaders. One on Innovation, Technology & New Solutions and another on Systems, Policy & Social Impact. Our young leaders took us on a journey reflecting on the moments they identified problems in their communities and decided to act on them. Leaning into what they had, they used their voices, technology and creativity to lead the change they wanted to see. There are moments in a journey that feel symbolic because of what they represent. Today, as we begin Day 1 at @anifilmfestival 2026, Moonshot finds itself in one of those moments. Being in Liberec, the hometown of our founder, @yemialchemist , brings a certain weight to this gathering. It’s a reminder that what exists today as a global community started as something much smaller: a lived experience, a question, a belief that young people deserve space to shape the world around them. Now, that belief is embodied by eight young leaders who have travelled here from across the world and here in the Czech Republic to share their stories. Each of them is building solutions at the intersection of technology, creativity and social impact. Gathered to ask you one question: What if we get it right? The question asks us to consider what becomes possible when those closest to the problems are given the platform, trust and resources to lead. Moonshot itself is a reflection of that possibility. Young people are often called “the future.” We know they’re already building it. On May 6, eight young leaders from our global community take the stage at @anifilmfestival to answer one question: What if I get it right? Joining us will be: @yasmine_abdu - Creator of @carbontrac , an AI platform gamifying sustainable shopping through real-time impact data. @jethrowboat - Founder of @farmbizafrica , reaching millions of smallholder farmers; now building Arclight, a low-cost space launch system. @rarelysleep - Founder of @stateassuch , using immersive performance and storytelling for public healing. @petrbanda_ - Co-founder of @sdruzenimladychromu , advancing civic engagement and challenging antigypsyism across Europe. @tersska - Founder of @insync.cz , a women’s wellness brand closing critical gaps in the health market. @apodorozhnya - Leader of @martynka_help , supporting Ukrainian women in Poland with mental health and rights access. @michaelasvoboda_ - Co-founder of @nanomind_ and founder of Bloom Together, redefining social work and tackling taboo issues. @yemialchemist - Founder, CEO and Creative Director of @moonshot @tamara_hoefer - Founder of @richtungswechsel.at , applying evidence-based solutions to prisoner rehabilitation and reducing reoffending. Listening to @james_terhemba reflect on the Skoll World Forum 2026 reinforces the value of placing young leaders in rooms where they can both contribute and learn from those further along in the journey. What stands out for him isn’t the scale of the space, but what happened in the in-between. The conversations, the people he met, and the way those interactions are already turning into new relationships. There’s also a quiet shift in how he speaks about his own work. A bit more certainty. A bit more trust in where it’s going. We’re grateful to the @skoll.foundation for making this kind of exposure possible for our young leaders.

Creativity is often reduced to what we produce. But in practice, it’s also how we return to ourselves. Having first joined us at the Moonshot Camp in 2025, @jennyh_art returned to our global community to guide a session that invited us into a different relationship with creativity, one rooted in awareness, presence and regulation. It was a reminder that sometimes the most powerful shifts don’t come from thinking more, but from noticing differently.

Skoll isn’t just a conference. For Moonshot, it’s a reminder of why this work matters. 
This week in Oxford, our young leaders have been in the room. Not watching from the sidelines, but contributing, connecting, and deepening their place in the global impact space. Alongside some of the world’s most committed changemakers, they are building partnerships, sharpening their thinking, and bringing perspectives that this movement needs.
