It’s a joyful message — a call for freedom — carried by a carefully arranged, irresistibly danceable production. It may be exactly the kind of heartfelt dance music we need right now: the kind that moves more than just our feet. You might think of Grace Jones interpreting Astor Piazzolla, or Sade fronting Stereolab. But enough name-dropping — Cambio Fluido is, above all, another chapter in Jon Hood’s own distinct sonic universe. Which makes us all the more excited for the album’s release on February 20.
