When building above 8' (2.4m) tall, molo uses a scissor lift to easily stack softblock pieces. Each piece is pre-stretched on the ground, and then gently compressed and passed up to the pair working on the lift. Prestretching the blocks helps them meet their maximum extension. Each layer is carefully placed and adjusted before moving on to the next layer. Visit the molo exhibit at @icff_official from May 17 - 19. installation process, molo at ICFF 2026 sloped softwall designed by Stephanie Forsythe and Todd MacAllen for @studio_molo

Installation days follow a set rhythm. On the first day, the molo team builds and prepares cloud softlight pendants, working with union electricians to hang each fixture. Elsewhere, the team prestretches benchwall and the base layer of the exhibition, tracing the boundaries with softwall before beginning to build taller. By the time @icff_official opens on May 17th, an immersive exhibit will completely redefine this space. installation process, molo at ICFF 2026 cloud softlight pendant, softwall, and benchwall designed by Stephanie Forsythe and Todd MacAllen for @studio_molo

@icff_official marks the introduction of several exciting developments for molo. The studio has entered into a collaborative partnership with @gmundpaper to produce new papers for the soft collection, drawn to the German manufacturer by its exceptional quality and dedication to sustainability. The first two colours from this partnership are deep blue and glacier blue, set to premiere at ICFF as a new product: sloped softwall. This uniquely sculptural version of molo’s iconic space partition is artfully cut on one side to reveal its internal structure, offering further potential to shape space through light and atmosphere. See these products in person in New York at ICFF 2026, from May 17 - 19. sloped softwall designed by Stephanie Forsythe and Todd MacAllen for @studio_molo

softwall + softblock, cloud softlight, benchwall and softseating are designed by Stephanie Forsythe and Todd MacAllen for @studio_molo . As part of the soft collection, they are made from pleated, honeycomb structures that absorb sound, flex and compress with ease, and unify space through a shared visual language. Experience the full collection in person at @icff_official May 17 - 19. installation view, molo at ICFF 2025 image by @mishin.photo

notch cut softwall is a creative way to display small promotional materials, postcards, and catalogues at trade shows, pop-ups, or in retail environments. The customization carves out a display ledge from the flexible space partition, revealing the sculptural geometry of the internal honeycomb structure. installation view, molo at @icff_official 2025 image by @mishin.photo aluminum textile softwall + softblock, benchwall, and cloud softlight pendant designed by Stephanie Forsythe and Todd MacAllen for @studio_molo

The tall ceilings in trade show halls offer an opportunity to stack softwall + softblock to impressive heights. molo's installation at ICFF 2025 reached 14ft (4.2m) tall, and was created without any additional accessories or supports. molo is pleased to shape the Media & VIP Lounge alongside @vitra this year for @icff_official , using aluminum textile softwall to create an intimate space to work, relax, and meet. image by @mishin.photo textile softwall + softblock designed by Stephanie Forsythe and Todd MacAllen for @studio_molo

In her podcast, @museum_of_thought , Kaz Maurice O'Leary investigates behaviour, identity, and meaning through objects. For the set design, softseating benches are used as a sculptural element and seating area for her and her guests to sit while exploring meaningful objects and their personal or cultural significance. creator, host, and set design by @kaz.m.oleary guest: @kathyeldon   creative producer: Ceci Herbert hair and makeup: @icutmyownbangs   image by @sammicwong shot at @podheadstudios brown paper softseating designed by Stephanie Forsythe and Todd MacAllen for @studio_molo

Through soft drapery, plants, and earthy tones, Void Interieurarchitectuur reimagined this dining area as a garden in the city. Large cloud mobiles are suspended over the double-height space, creating the comforting sense of lounging underneath a tree. project design by @voidinterieurarchitectuur furniture outfitted by @interiorworksnl image by @mikebinkfotografie cloud softlight mobile designed by Stephanie Forsythe and Todd MacAllen for @studio_molo
