Andy Martin, a Mexican-Jamaican artist, has been carving out a distinct space through a sound that blends sci-fi techno with Latin Caribbean influences. His work draws from both futurism and heritage, threading rhythmic intensity with a wider sonic imagination that sits slightly outside conventional club frameworks. His recent album Antiguos Astronautas explores this intersection further — connecting techno with narratives of native futurism — and has found support from artists such as DVS1, Ben UFO and Blawan, with tracks reaching dancefloors at spaces like Berghain, Tresor, Fabric and Bassiani. Alongside his productions, his DJ sets carry that same energy — moving through driving techno with flashes of rhythm and texture that reflect his cross-cultural background. Working almost entirely with hardware and vinyl, her approach is grounded in physical media and analogue machines — a practice that has defined both her DJ sets and productions over the years. Her releases span labels such as Werkdiscs, Ninja Tune, Solar One Music and her own imprint Return to Disorder, moving through electro, EBM and industrial with a sound that is direct, raw and unfiltered. Midnight Shift (@mnshift ) returns for its first season of 2026. A reset. Fewer distractions. Music first. On 7 Feb, we open with a considered double bill. Blue Hour (@bluehour909 ) returns to Singapore. Luke Standing’s long-running project rooted in blueprint techno, shaped by unreleased material and patient, club-built structures. Joining him for her SG debut, Tasha (@tasha_neighbourhood ). Neighbourhood founder, Open Ground resident, Rinse FM mainstay. Her sets move fluidly through garage, jungle, dubstep and techno — long-form, unpredictable, and sharply intentional. Local support comes from Aya (@a_y_a_n_o._ ), a constant presence in rooms that value discipline and depth, alongside Helios XL (Nez Senja) bringing forward-facing selections and deep cuts. Her style is all about no-nonsense, high-impact tracks that drive straight to the heart of techno, steering clear of passing fads and focusing on high-energy sounds at the cutting edge. With gigs at respected venues like Basement and Nowadays in New York, Movement Detroit, and Berghain, Dekmantel, Fuse Brussels and Draaimolen, Akua’s name keeps popping up wherever forward-thinking techno is celebrated. Four @marcofreivogel_studio / @adamsinclaire with their debut Untitled consisting of three live recordings made using only a concert flute and an Octatrack M1. The recordings are live taken from improvised sessions and have been left unedited. Recorded in single takes using a simplified setup of the flute - played into a microphone and wired through an Octatrack - every sound heard in the recordings comes in one way or another from the flute as a single sound source, manipulated and looped on the fly with additional live improvisation over the top. The result is a timeless capsule of heady drones, offbeat electronics, and mischievous flutes, captured during a time when the world stood still. Scuzzy at times, glistening at others, and ever-optimistic in the pursuit of something new. All record profits from this release will go to @3ezwa.de , providing financial and legal support to those facing repression for their commitment to the Pal3stinian cause.
