In Singapore, she has played for parties like Groovetop, Soulset, and held residencies at Potato Head, Mandala Club, and now, The Champagnery. Beyond Singapore, she has played in Manila, Bangkok (Blaq Lyte), and for Parisian R&B radio station, Let Me Hold You. 8th May — @surajlaxhman LAXHMAN draws sounds from House, UK Garage, and UK Bass, staying loose and genre-fluid while keeping a strong focus on groove and movement. In a short time, he’s played across both local and international spaces. Within three months of picking up DJing, he made his debut in Kuala Lumpur at Up & Away, and has since gone on to play at JUNA in Goa—a respected, sound-focused venue within India’s alternative circuit—as well as Higher Ground (HQ Singapore) and other venues across Singapore. 15th May — @nothappycallpolice Whoever governs the mixer must have that iron in him, or give it up. Introducing the collaborators for slow sunday sessions vol. 1 🌞 We have a lovely line-up of folks who will guide us into a soft afternoon of sensorial delights this sunday at our space. Starting with a grounding meditation session with Melissa of @innerkind.co , the space is then ushered into a sonic playground through a medley of chill beats and downtempo tunes by @ryan.theweatherman and RTJ @sideo with their selection of umami sounds. This is supported by the incredible and gracious @upperserangoonsoundsystem , a high-quality set-up to savour all those intricacies. Participants are invited to create things alongside these sound maestros with discarded clothes provided by The Fashion Pulpit. Do whatever you want with them: cut, tie, stretch, braid, tear, rip, draw, write on them. Nothing is a mistake. Let go of perfection and immerse yourself in this tactile medium.
