I’m pleased to share that in 2025 I received the #kpodlakultury art scholarship funded by the European Union. This support enables me to develop my video practice around interspecies filmmaking, working with dogs, experimental recording methods and non-human perspectives. 🐾🎥

W ramach stypendium rozwijam swoje kompetencje filmowe i realizacyjne w obszarze sztuki wideo i pracy z obrazem filmowym, koncentrując się na etycznych i bezpiecznych metodach filmowania zwierząt. Projekt realizuję poprzez konsultacje scenariuszowe, udział w warsztacie operatorskim oraz rozmowy z ekspertami i ekspertkami od relacji międzygatunkowych oraz osobami zajmującymi się zawodowo opieką nad zwierzętami, głównie psami. Równolegle rozwijam roboczą wersję filmu / pracy wideo.

Filmowanie międzygatunkowe: rozwój kompetencji w zakresie sztuki wideo i eksperymentalnych metod rejestracji obrazu.

Canis Major and Canis Minor constellations (greater dog and the lesser dog) from „The Book of Fixed Stars / كتاب صور الكواكب kitāb suwar al-kawākib” by an iranian astronomer Al Sufi.
Each celestial object is represented in two ways providing a shift of perspective from the way „we see” things from the Earth and how they position on the celestial globe.
"Do dogs see colors?" and "Can fishes tell a square from a triangle?" the reader must visualize 'see' and 'tell' in tell-tale quotation marks, and bear with the writer if he seems to lapse into anthropocentrism and to attribute conscious visual acts to animals whose dim minds we cannot read. It is easiest to compare the visual potentialities of one ocular mechanism with those of another as though behind each there lay a brain like that of man; but it is hoped that without further frequent reminder, the reader will forever remember this.

Fruits of Lesuire ~ recipes from the urban harvest is loosely inspired by a form of a cookbook. Process and possible outcomes are mixed together in an unexpected way revealing more personal, juicy stories.
