Introducing participants of the Spring 2026 edition of HerArts Film Lab: HEATHER O'SULLIVAN and MK QUANE 🇮🇪 who are coming to the lab with their TV project MISSES. MK is a writer-director from Kildare. Her debut short “Heartsick” is an award-winning comedy-drama about female friendship breakup, which has picked up Best Short Film at the WFT Ireland 2025 Awards and Best International Film at BRADIFF. Her next directing project, “HRTeaze,” will be released in the summer. Heather is an actor and writer from Dublin. Her co-written short “Trasna Na Líne,” premiered at Dublin IFF 2025, and won Best Short Film. It's nominated for Best Short at the Royal Television Society Awards and Celtic Media Festival. Beyond thrilled to share that my debut film, Heartsick, is premiering this July at the 37th Galway Film Fleadh! Getting to make this film in my hometown, with the people we made it with, was a total dream. So much time, energy and creativity was poured into it by everyone who worked on it and I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve created together. A silly little comedy with a tonne of heart (and hopefully laughs - please laugh!!). A huge thank you to Kildare Shortgrass, Malone + Lorraine for believing in the script, to our incredible cast and crew for bringing it to life and to Heather O’Sullivan - our headliner - for being a fecking legend and a true privilege to work with. Come see Heartsick, Thursday 10th July!
