Thank you @sfindiefest for our amazing West Coast premiere! We sold out our screening at @roxie_theater , participated in an amazing panel about screenwriting (photo by @lucyhnn ), and met such wonderful filmmakers and artists.
Thank you @jeffbishopross for programming our film, @celestialzzz for being such a champion for it and leading a fantastic Q&A, and @lucyhnn for all the photos and for the beautiful write-up. Putting on a festival like this takes so much work, and your whole team did it with so much grace, care, and dedication. We are so grateful.
Next up, we’re back on our home turf for the @nycomedyfilmfestival 2/19 at 7pm ET.
Spread the word! We hope to see you there!

Perhaps the real criterion picks were the friends we made along the way… 🥰
Didn’t take enough pictures of my time at the Chicago International Film Festival, as usual. So much love to all the wonderful filmmakers, my awesome colleagues on staff, the amazing volunteers, and everyone for making it such an incredible two weeks!!
More like Palm Springs LOVEFEST!!! 😍
(Here are some photos I mostly stole from other people’s posts + one video + one mushy love note. Wish I had taken more! Let’s just start over from the beginning, shall we?)
Keep in touch! Have a good summer! Best friends forever! Etc!!

Can’t have my instagram be work-related things only, so here are some pictures from May when @cklou had a beautiful wedding and I got a tux for the occasion!
🎉Such a joy working on #CineYouth this year, with young filmmakers and young curators who have filled me with hope for the future of film! ❤️
The festival films, all made by filmmakers 22 and younger (!!), are now available virtually worldwide through the 30th, go to chicagofilmfestival.com/cineyouth for free tix! 🤩

That’s a wrap on #mvff45! I will eventually sift through all the photos from the festival, and as usual I’m regretting not taking more, but for now I want to just post something to express my thanks (…and let’s be honest, to brag).
This year, I came on board as a programmer, booked 5 amazing US indie films, had on stage conversations with exceptional filmmakers, produced a panel on representation for Asian American women in film, and worked alongside the most wonderful group of people who inspire me greatly ❤️
At the amazing MVFF drive-in, at Lagoon Park - Marin Center!
Fun fact: in Gattaca (1997), The Marin Civic Center served as the space exploration agency!
