I discovered Viviane’s work in 2013 at Venice Biennale. It inspired me so much so that I decided to get in touch. Since then I’ve had the pleasure of working with her on many projects from commercial to art installations. She always allows space to experiment. Last year I received a lovely note from her. It meant a great deal.
I started working with Jacob over a decade ago, maybe even longer. I remember seeing his piece 'The Man Who Fell to Earth' and being instantly captivated by his work.
He’s a director who places real importance on sound, and I can’t emphasise that enough. He always makes the time, often coming into the studio, and when we work together I know I have 100% of his focus.
For this latest piece with Benicio Del Toro for Numéro Homme, we couldn’t meet in person, as we’re more and more often in different locations, so we ran all our sessions over Zoom. It’s a relatively new way for us to work, but it still felt like the same level of care and attention as always.

Disembodied Voice - Is a series where I'm aiming to explore generative AI as an unstable collaborator. The work pushes AI audio models beyond their intended training and expected outputs, provoking anomalies when the system is forced into unfamiliar territory. Rather than presenting AI as a source of precision or authority, I’m interested in exploring it as a fractured voice/sound generating machine that speaks through error, hallucination, and misinterpretation. #soundart #soundartist #aiart #voice #experimentalmusic #experimentalscores

Continuing the theme of Disembodied Voice, this series of explorations draw inspiration from La Monte Young - Composition 1960 #2.

Forough Farrokhzad (1935–1967) was one of the most radical voices of modern Persian poetry, a poet, filmmaker, and revolutionary voice, writing about the body, consciousness, and rebirth in her own uncompromising voice.
This track is my sonic reworking of her poem Another Birth.

The caravan tucked away for winter, the hut weathering the elements. Got myself a copy of Le Guin's "The Left Hand of Darkness". Ate. Slept. Walked. Read. Talked. Stared into the distance. Breathed. Stopped for a moment 🍂
Recently I revisited Stockhausen’s 1971 lecture on “Intuitive Music,” and exploring AI music has made me appreciate improvisation as a method for creating. Working with AI has highlighted how much of music making still comes from human intuition. With AI I can create something that resembles the end result through trial and error, but it's always an approximation of what is an intuitive process.
🔊Explorations in AI Music – 04 – “A Series of Experiments”
Since my last post, I’ve been pushing further to see just how interesting the results can get. Here’s a compilation of those explorations. Note: Some are composites of sounds generated and then further arranged and processed to create the final result.
