These gatherings reclaim music as something we can sit with, talk about, disagree on, and carry beyond the night, perhaps dancing, but with a little more of the story in our bodies. ———————————— B-Movie follows a Manchester kid on the trail of Bowie and Joy Division into a walled-in city running on cheap rent and nervous energy. Told through mostly unseen Super 8 footage, it captures West Berlin at its most unhinged, where the days were short, the nights were endless, and nobody was thinking about tomorrow.
