3rd Overall UTV 🥉
The DA has been stoked with our relationship with @canamoffroad and @alsup_rd as our #MaverickR builder and race partner. We have started our drive towards some UTV racing, using our Baja experience to mentor and support some great young men.
The official announcement of the @desertassassins joining team @yokohamatire last week was all TT based so we sort of quietly brought our UTV team to the race without much noise making but with a twin look and partners including the same new shoes. I guess the cats out of the bag that this program will be more than TT’s and this DA Ding Dong (me).
Yesterday the team with @mitchellalsup and @joshrow_ doing the steering @jeremygray_7 and @prax224 doing the navigating had a clean day for 3rd overall UTV with Alsup RD, Row and DA pit support.
Both are great young talents that have moto’d and raced with us. Josh has been on two Rip to Cabo rides and Mitchell has been a part of the DA family since his dad was pitting us in the early 2000’s.
I must say I’m really proud of their stick to the plan ability. It’s easy to get caught up blasting all out for the win but starting 24th in class made for a calculated move up through the field of not only UTV’s but also 10 cars and Spec TT’s.
Very well done all! Impressive first team up of Mitchell and Josh and their teams.

Also, side note, we are stoked for our buddy @phil_blurton on his Pro Turbo win even though he got smashed at both ends by spec TT and full TT donkeys! He’s a bad dude and rips big time!
