Can’t thank @oneof_ny ’s Patricia Voto, my absolute QUEEN, for asking me to be a part of such a fun and exciting project, especially when it involves the chance to work with @studio_db ’s Britt Zunino…truly one of the best designers in the world. Honored. Humbled. Styled by @mieketenhave and feat. in @voguemagazine !!!!! And a quick note on how important art is in an increasingly artificial world. It means so much to see titans of their respective industries INSIST on working with and supporting artists. This project came to me at a difficult time and it gave me purpose. Creating art has always been a salvation for me, and is part of my core identity. When an artist gets a chance to make art, have others see it and respond to it…nothing compares. A simple chance to paint a bathroom was a hugely meaningful experience for me and I hope for years to come it brings joy and whimsy to this beautiful Atelier. Art means so much right now, everyone is honestly brain warped and selfish and dulled in their creativity. Make art, support art, buy art! It’s a magical and powerful part of being human.

Opening tonight of Soft Resistance @espasso gallery, join us from 6 to 9pm ! 📸 by the amazing @idaelevine Soft Resistance opens June 11 at ESPASSO Gallery, a ceramic group exhibition in dialogue with Brazil’s 20th-century designers. Soft yet enduring, fragile yet unbreakable-ceramic is a paradox shaped by human hands and sealed by fire. This exhibition gathers 27 artists and designers who explore clay’s dual nature: malleable and yielding in its raw form, yet capable of withstanding centuries once transformed. In dialogue with these earthen forms, the warmth and density of ESPASSO’s Brazilian wood, shaped by masters of modernist design, offer a grounded counterpoint to clay’s elemental softness. Together, these materials form an architecture of balance, honoring the past while opening space for contemporary expression. Through vessels, sculptures, and objects that defy function, these works echo the intimate dance between creation and resistance. In an age of fracture, ceramic and wood together remind us that strength is found in flexibility-that our world, like these materials, becomes what we shape it to be.
