Seven whole years ago, I took my first gig with CBS Sports as a runner on their specialty set for the Final Four, skipping a week of classes in my senior year at Indiana to fly to Phoenix and help out wherever I could. By year’s end, I was in NYC working in the Features & Original Programming department. First as a Broadcast Associate and then as an Associate Producer, although neither title made much sense given I almost always had a camera in my hands.
Now, after several years of honing my skills and surviving a global pandemic, I’m following a dream I’ve had for long time and making the leap into the freelance world as a cinematographer and RED owner/operator under my new company, Northpaw Film Co., and I’ve been very fortunate to have my first big job be with some familiar faces in the same place where it all started.
