What a woman, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister, friend.
You could find her at 7am, drinking her pot of coffee, doing her crosswords or praying for everyone she loved on her rosary.
At 5 feet and 95 years young, she was quicker on her feet and sharper in her mind than most people I know. Fast tracked to heaven and reunited with those gone before her. I’m sending my love to everyone in the Gillis family, of which she was the center and the rock.
My children were so lucky to have such a formidable woman as their grandmother. I’m grateful that she always made me feel like I was part of the family. In fact knowing her taught me the meaning of a family.
They don’t make them like they made her.
