15 Years Ago today we released “Farm Together Now: A portrait of people, places and ideas for a new food movement” with Chronicle Books. I think of this project often, and am so appreciative of my collaborators Amy Franceschini & Anne Hamersky. Here is a sampling of beautiful photos by Anne Hamersky. Sending hugs and gratitude to the families of Carolyn Thomas and Joe Hollis who I got to interview but who have since passed.

I’m very excited to announce the release of Beyond Glass Cases: The Library Company of Philadelphia’s “Collection Lab,” a new book documenting the lessons learned during the three-year Pew Center for Arts & Heritage-funded project that sought to transcend traditional exhibition models in the interpretation of challenging, and at times harmful, collection items. The nearly 200-page-illustrated book published by Common Ground Research Networks includes an overview of each project component, interviews with creative partners, staff, and advisory committee members, and feedback from exhibition goers. With contributions from: Bill Adair, Linda Kimiko August, Rachel D’Agostino, Mark Thomas Gibson, Emily Guthrie, Sharon Hildebrand, Tania Isaac Hyman, Zachariah Julian, Shannon Mattern, Paul Wolff Mitchell, Erika Piola, Tafari Robertson, John C. Van Horne, and Sarah Weatherwax. At the release I will discuss the creation of the book detailing The Library Company’s Beyond Glass Cases project and contextualize the initiative within the field of artist-led archival interventions and the larger debate about public memory. A complimentary copy of the book will be available to each attendee. I hope to see you there on Wednesday, December 3rd from 5:30 - 7:00 PM at The Library Company of Philadelphia | 1314 Locust St, Philadelphia, PA 19107 RSVP here (linked in my bio) /event/beyond-glass-cases-book-launch/e743199 And finally, many thanks to Bill, Tania and Sarah for bringing me on board and Phillip and Tracy from Common Ground for their work getting it published. JUNE at Bungee Space It all starts with the hand. The origin of the gesture of help. Le Premier Geste presents a large part of @amandine_freyd_ ’s collection of hands. These come from the archives of an ancient encyclopedia of first aid and medicine. A Century of Injured Men: @bernhardcella ’s sweeping pictorial documentary of convalescent men present us with an iconography of a century of medical progress and, by the same token, with a typology of the mise en scenes of soon-to-be homecoming patients. a lot MORE 🖇🖇🖇 Come Read at #bungeespace #3standardstoppage #3ssstudios

NOW IN PRE-SALE ‘We are all ..... now’ is inspired by a rhetorical phenomenon disseminated in the media with the intention of implicating people with an agenda. Sourced and quoted from the ‘We are all socialists now’ dating back to 1887 up to ‘We are all Ukrainians now’ dated 2022, this project presents a non-exhaustive list and illustrated artist visualizations of this rhetorical device named strategic universalism by artist / activist / researcher Daniel Tucker, presented here along with a new dialogue with the artist Dan S. Wang. Because the original quotations are at times conflicting, this series of hand-drawn responses to each strategically universalist implication draws out a wide range of idiosyncratic symbolic approaches to interpretation - laying bare the struggle of different identities involved in the commitment to stand together. Specs: Swiss bound with linnen bound book-block 170 x 240 mm / 6,69 x 9,45 inch portrait 128 pages, all black/ white except for inside of the 6 page cover (flap) PRE-ORDER AT SETMARGINS.COM Sales-price pre-sale 17 euro incl. So fun to see friends and colleagues at last nights opening and book release for #Lastgaspism - a project that only exists because of many hands collaborating but also people finding powerful tactics through art and writing to reflect on this moment in time and being willing to share it publicly - thanks to the very supportive and hard working staff of @pearlsteingallery Leah and Dino and their grad student team of Erini and Danielle - and to one of my co-curators Dan S Wang (@t.romes you were missed) and several artists including Cheryl Derricotte and Pato Hebert pictured here (along with the folks from @writersroomdrexel who I didn’t get a picture with). If you are in NYC and can come out on Sunday at 5 we will have a book talk at @woodbine.nyc

Starting to plan out some projects for an August @assets4artists residency at @massmoca and reflecting back on the street art/mail art installation that @jmacphee and I initiated for The Interventionists curated by @natothompson - ahem - 15 years ago! Excited to be going back to see North Adams again and get to reflect on that project and the Retooling Dissent video we also exhibited with the StreetRec group. Got to meet so many amazing folks but couldn’t have done this install without the collaboration of hundreds of artists who mailed us their work - you can see the joyful unpacking in some of these photos - and the collaborating helping hands including @scoutpines and @chrisstain1972 . Remembering walking the tracks with your kids and @teagravel and krishna-core buffet. Also thinking of the friends who’ve passed since Jason Brooks and Dara Greenwald. ❤️RIP. I guess this is #flashbackfriday
