#GreifAlumni: We love to see artists whose work we have previously supported flourish! Join us in celebrating Marinos Tsagkarakis’s (
@marinos_tsagkarakis ) new publication with Overlapse (
@overlapse ), “Strawberry Blue.” 🍓
💬 Marinos describes how we supported this publication in becoming a reality; “The Der Greif X MPB (
@mpbcom ) scholarship came at the right moment, offering meaningful validation of the quality and relevance of my photographic work. It also provided essential support in developing the project further and ultimately bringing it to completion as a photobook.”
Officially launched in March at Unseen (
@unseenphotofair ) 2026, “Strawberry Blue” began after the artist’s migration from Greece to the Netherlands, where he was seriously injured in a road accident shortly after arriving.
An arduous recovery process, along with upheaval in adapting to an unfamiliar environment, triggered an inner quest for belonging and identity redefinition. Over time, Tsagkarakis wandered a local Dutch park, observing its shifting, dreamlike terrain and connecting with strangers and the natural world. The work reflects an off-kilter sense of resilience, persistence, and growing new roots. 🪴
