Well well well I do take for granted the "instant" gratification I had access to when running that BW commercial film lab and having that Noritsu on hand to scan my rolls immediately. Flatbeds require far more attention than I give them credit for at 1am - even more so when you want those sprockets - and I'm too excited to see my negatives go positive to follow alllllll those steps.
But I slowed down, I shut that pesky Epson software down and reinstated Vuescan, scanned em proper to send through NLP and this is what positive scans are meant to look like. Still more flatbed skills to learn, no doubt. Always wishing for those lenses and attachments to better dslr scan, that's for sure. Check the new post to see the proper images. Let this post serve as my shameful reminder to slow the fuck down even after the film is developed.
Film is complicated, so am I. We'll always have new things to learn about each other and that's the fun of it
