Collab goblet with my brother @darbyholmglass 🍷 it’s always awesome when I get to work with Darby. Darby started glass in southern Oregon in 1996. Darbys attention to detail and his natural eye for art helped him become a master quickly. When I started glass in 2000 I was blessed to learn from Darby for the many years that followed. Darby and I were both born in Takilma Oregon. I small hippy town outside of Cave Junction. Glass started our friendship and I am very thankful to have his friendship all these years later. Been lucky to work this last 7 months with my friend Ben @drinkingvessels bringing @jenstark into the studio to explore what she would like to do with glass. There are some incredibly talented people contributing to this project and I’m really honored to have this role in this team. @eusheen is an artist I have looked up to my entire career and has been contributing to this project in a big way since the beginning. On this last session with the crew he and I had the opportunity to utilize some of Jen’s newest murrine along with some of our own favorite techniques on this marble. I’m always stunned with Eusheen’s work. So thankful for this opportunity to collab with such legends and just an all around great people that inspire me. I’m stoked for what’s to come. This marble has sold into a private collection. Thanks for your support. Baleen (Eusheen x Badback Remibulator - Nov ‘22)
I commissioned Baleen as a collaboration between two of the most distinct voices in borosilicate glass, & it still remains the centerpiece of my collection. Forever Grateful to James & Eush for taking the time to help bring this vision to life — the balance, flow, and detail still leave me in awe.
