What a wonderful evening! Thank you to everyone who participated in our May First Friday Cake Picnic! The event was a huge success, and we are planning to make this an annual event. We had 25 cake entries, and a great turnout overall. A very special thank you to @The Barn Minturn for hosting. Immense gratitude to Heather MacDonald for making 2 gorgeous handmade ceramic cake stands to make our cake display extra special (and pink). And I can’t thank Cindy, Bliss, Kimberley, Thom and Nichi enough. The support for tonight’s event and the belief in my vision has been humbling.

The Town of Minturn is thrilled to have recently partnered with the U.S. Forest Service - White River National Forest and @Vail Valley Mountain Trails Alliance, to expand the Grouse Creek Trailhead parking area. This project provides much needed additional parking, enhancing safety by keeping cars off of Highway 24. Thank you to our partners and to our amazing Public Works team for bringing this project to completion.
What an incredible First Friday! 🎉 Thank you to everyone who joined us at The Crazy Chicken on Friday to celebrate World Party Day. What better way to honor a day dedicated to joy, peace, and positive connection than gathering together as a community right here in Minturn! A huge thank you to @thecrazychicken_minturn for opening their doors, providing an amazing atmosphere, and keeping the food and drinks flowing. Their staff did an amazing job. And a big shoutout to Tim Campbell for the live music that kept the energy going. We are so thankful to have such an engaged and connected community. We're already looking forward to next month at The Barn! @thebarnminturn
Thank to you all those who attended the RTAP Workshop with us on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. We had great participation from local, regional, and state partners, as well as from our local residents. We appreciate your engagement and feedback. This program is hosted in partnership with the @cumastersenv , the @corecindustry , and @csuextension .
The program is designed to help communities develop strategies and a community action plan to revitalize their downtown economies through outdoor recreation. Stay tuned for the Action Plan, which will be informed by the priorities shared in the workshop. The plan will be shared soon, and we look forward to working with all of you to implement the ideas that came out of program.

March marked our final Community Dinner of the season, and we’re so grateful to the Minturn community for showing up with such generosity, warmth, and spirit. A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who brought a dish, volunteered their time, and helped make each dinner so special. A huge thanks to Jennifer Pace for spearheading this. We look forward to doing it again next winter.
