🌍 Face/Interface 2025: Global Type Design and Human-Computer Interaction 🌍 I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll be speaking at the third Face/Interface conference! Organized by SILICON at Stanford University, this international event brings together scholars, designers, engineers, and technologists to explore global type design, book design, interface design, and human-computer interaction. My connection to Face/Interface began in 2017, when I had the incredible opportunity to attend the very first one. It was also my first international conference as well, and to this day, I consider it the best I’ve ever attended.
It’s truly an honor to return, this time as a speaker, and contribute to the ongoing conversations shaping our field. After completing her Master’s degree at Musashino Art University in the history and modern usage of CJK-Latin multiscript typesetting, Min developed her career in the font business as a type project manager at Japanese type foundries Morisawa and Fontworks. In 2020, Min founded Studio Em Dash, dedicated to multilingual type development and typographic consultancy. Min is also an active writer and speaker on CJK typography, presenting at esteemed conferences such as AtypI and TypeCon.
