Hello all! This Friday is a BANDCAMP Friday and MTS will have TWO new releases that day: the first is the debut vinyl LP by Western, PA’s BODY OF RESEARCH entitled “Vehicle Wasting Away” and the second is an archival recording of the third ever live performance of GLANDS OF EXTERNAL SECRETION (featuring Michael Morley of the Dead C) entitled “Unexplained Bite Marks”. Now what makes these two records even more special is they’re the first two releases to be housed in “generic” printed MTS label sleeves designed by my 4 year old son Sebastien. Sebby designed the sleeves which I then had pro printed an each release will feature handmade/paste on/stamped/etc artwork by the artists. Each release will be very limited: Glands is 200 copies and Body of Research is 100 copies, both hand-stamped. Some more great stuff coming in this series so please stay tuned… Thabks Xx

🚨🚨🚨OUT NOW🚨🚨🚨 Scissor Fits “It Wasn’t Nothing” LP Available via Minimum Table Stacks Bandcamp and BigCartel stores! Album is also streaming on all major services! “It Wasn’t Nothing” is a career retrospective of Hounslow, UK’s own SCISSOR FITS. The LP compiles both of their 7” singles, their track from the “Snoopies” compilation LP plus additional never before released songs from the band’s archive. 300 copies on black vinyl with a nifty 2-sided insert featuring photos/ephemera/liner notes covering the band’s glorious run from 1978-1981. Cover art by clair Mastered by @magnetic @otic Layout by @raoul Ed Zed of Strange Flesh sez: Hounslow: a seemingly unassuming town with a storied history. Birthplace of MF DOOM. Final destination of the northbound 281 bus. And once upon a time, the stomping ground of beloved post-punks, Scissor Fits. Formed in 1978, with a stripped-down, spiky DIY sound as their sonic template, the band recorded their legendary debut EP  ‘Taught? Tense? Angular? And Other British Rail Sandwiches’ before they’d even played a live gig. An instant classic featuring arch but relatable ditties such as ‘I Don’t Wanna Work For British Airways’, ‘I Wish I Hadn’t Shaved My Pubic Hair Off’ and ‘Waiting For Your Love In The Shower’ the EP garnered glowing press and the inevitable support of John Peel.  A second EP  ‘Soon After Dark’ was released in 1979, which found the band adding a poppy, quasi-psychedelic twist to their now beefed-up sound, and a superb final recording from the same era could easily have made up a third EP. In the tradition of so many punky posses of their time however, the Fits called it quits after just two fabulous singles, burning brightly and briefly, and their legacy is now captured here on this career-spanning compilation. Featuring both the band’s EPs, plus four sumptuous previously unreleased tracks, this is the definitive Scissor Fits article. Dive in. For fans of: Buzzcocks, Department S, Television Personalities, Rezillos, Vapors, Desperate Bicycles, #ukdiy #messthetics #hyped2death

Bonjour mes amis! It’s me, Zinedine Zidane, how’s it going? Me, I’ve been hanging out @popcultureshop75 on Rue Keller in the fashionable city of Paris. There you can pick up excellent disques by the likes of Paris 1942, Alan Vega, Polygon Window, R.N.A. Organism, The Clean, and, as of today, the brand new long player by England’s newest hitmakers, THE MIDNIGHT MINES. I predict big things for these guys, probably gonna be headlining the Zenith soon. Fred also has loads of comics and tapes and Street Fighter II figurines. What a great place. Tell all your Parisien punk mates or people passing through. Apparently bloghouse is back though and the weather is a bit shit, so I got to get out of this country for a while, see you round the way.
