With back-to-school and the holiday weekend coming up, I decided to push back my event to the date I originally wanted.. 9/29. My birthday, because what better way to start a new year of life than to celebrate in a way that honors my children, my family, my friends, my community, the beauty in our world, the power of love and the peace it brings. The Peace Party was inspired by my love for nostalgic tv shows such as Wild N Crazy Kids, Guts, Family Double Dare, Legends of the Hidden Temple and Endurance. I always wanted to be a part of those shows to compete, connect with people and probably have the best freaking time ever. I also remember watching Teen Summit and always thinking that I wanted to be on a panel like that to discuss important matters amongst others my age. I never got to do anything like it... But now, I have a teenager of my own. And I have nieces, nephews, little cousins and plenty of kids around my way that deserve an event that would resemble the joy I imagined having, if I would’ve been on one of those shows. An event where they will play ice breakers to learn about each other’s personalities. A safe space to discuss and speak freely on important matters to them. They will then play team building games to show the importance of working together. We will talk, joke and laugh, all while learning about one another’s differences and still connecting through similarities. Our mission is to teach the importance of communication, respect, community and integrity.. All to reach our only goal.. One Love.

In our family, February is Zay’s month. For his birthday this year, we celebrated in the Poconos..

I realized I haven’t posted anything on my page since January 1st. Let me recap 2022 so far… January.. New Year’s Day, I woke up at Jade’s after a night of toasting to life, love and friendship.. New year, same us, better versions. Later that day, I met up with Kayla. We caught up as much as we could and she filled me up, as always. Later in the month, I had a sleepover with my cousin Kalina. She always says “You know bitches don’t like coming over empty handed!” All this liquor and we not even like that. We take 1-2 shots, eat some bomb food, do a lil bit of something else, watch hella Rom-Coms, talk about everything under the sun and pass out, forgetting to use the beauty products she brings for us to use. These 3 are the types you keep forever. So that’s the plan. 💐
