fare thee well australia :') 3 months since i've seen my own bed and i look forward to getting home but im feeling so filled up with joy. To everyone who made the shows possible, hosted me, shared a laugh, meal etc ily ty i am truly blessed by u.
to be together, in the sea, smiling, ear to ear, friends, the road, grumbling about sleeplessness, tumbling through endless changes, notes, sound checks, hotel sheets, friendly couches, swims, swings, side-of-road-nude-changes and butt naked bathroom breaks, quiet drives, loud drives, grumpy, giggly, snacky, and snack-less flights.... i am grateful to be here 🌏 thank you australia for the opportunity to make a living playing and writing songs. It is a huge honor and i will cherish and tend to it as best as i can in this starving society.
Last show is in Perth on April 4 and i hardly know anyone there so send your friends if you have any out west. i get to play it along side @heathcotebluemusic

australia tour starts in 1 week, damn, see you soon 🖤
handful of shows are almost sold out, thank you! ill be using this tour to really focus on songs and getting back to heart of it for me (and for you). I will be therefor playing mostly just me and my guitar and driving long stretches in a car with dearest @rubymarygill who is a poet (amongst other things like friend and birder and lover of plain lettuce) tix at mimigilbert.com
(shirt fest @emileesouth my hero)
unbearable beauty and an ocean of pain - jack kornfield
thinking of our home 🌏 wishing all the world leaders could be catapulted into space to experience some radical overview effect. why do i get to view this sunset in peace while others lose their children and sisters. i'm committed to sing along with some revolution, music (is) my anchor to humanity.
our tour starts in just a few weeks. we are excited.
in times like these, i feel honoured to travel with a poet and share these shows together. Ruby says what i cannot dare put into words. Then i will play you my songs. I can only hope that these nights will mean something more than just another show. and that the truth of this moment in time and history can sift softly down into us easier because of it and help us know how to be in our lives, our art, vitality, joy, resistance, community. f*ck f*c sits and g*noc*de, love is our greatest power.
