Earth Day has been celebrated worldwide on April 22 since 1970. Itâs a day to honour the achievements of the environmental movement and raise awareness of the need to protect earthâs natural resources for future generations. Itâs more important than ever right now.
For us, at @thefallsfarm we focus on regenerating the soil, supporting biodiversity and working with the land (not against it). At @mapleton.pub , that translates to food and drink thatâs directed by the seasons, reduces waste and is locally grown or sourced.

The Apes are back! After their show at MPH last year, they played to epic crowds at The Chai Tent at the one and only Woodford Folk Festival and are ready to bring their eclectic and energetic sounds to you. On 26 July, as part of Good Soil: Farm. Table. Beast, weâre opening the gates to The Falls Farm for a limited series of guided farm tours.
Hop on the bus from Mapleton Public House and go behind the scenes of our regenerative farm alongside our head farmers, exploring soil health, seasonal produce and the connection between farm, kitchen and plate.
Departures: 9:45am, 10:45am, 11:45am
Tour duration: 1 hour
Adults $20 | Children $5 (under 2 yrs free on laps)
Places are limited. You can book your tickets via our website, the link in bio or via Curated Plate.
After the tour, return to the pub for live music, local producers, open-fire cooking and the full Good Soil festival experience.

Itâs probably time we introduce you more formally to our Head Chef, Sam.
Sam brings experience shaped by some of Australia and Japanâs most respected kitchens. His career has spanned everything from classic Italian dining and refined European service through to highly produce-driven regional cooking and Michelin-starred restaurants in Tokyo. His time at Pipit under chef Ben Devlin deepened his focus on sustainability, regenerative agriculture and championing local growers, and set him up to carry those philosophies forward at Mapleton Public House under the mentorship of Executive Chef, Cameron Matthews.

In March we had the absolute pleasure of hosting Corrie Wright at The Falls Farm for the Made SC artist residency through @sunshinecoastcouncil .
For three weeks, Corrie hung with us at the pub and the farm, quietly observing, asking questions, collating ideas, creating gems and becoming our dearest friend. Corrie was exploring the concept of the regenerative process as part of her residency and her brain never ever stopped ticking alongâŚ
At the conclusion of her residency we were overwhelmed with the beauty of her creations; beautiful sketches of birds on recycled materials, whimsical hand-made tools and digital representations of the hard working hands of our staff (to name a few things!)
Corrieâs words were equally stunning (make sure you have a listen to the spoken poem alongside her zine here).
