So. Much. Mud. The end of April marked the beginning of our 2026 race season and I’m happy to report, we got off to a great start. Mountain Creek is no Palmerton, but it’s still Spartan’s fifth-hardest venue on the U.S. schedule. As the region’s highest skiable vertical, Vernon Peak tops out at 1,480 feet (but our race actually covered at least three times that amount of elevation gain.) It’s the only venue in the country that Spartan returns to twice in one year. After running it I can see why. Right out the gate you’re immediately climbing. It’s rocky and mountainous for miles of forest with multiple scrambles up ski slopes until you eventually reach a bunch of obstacles at the summit. From there you barrel down steep and technical trails that track through muddy AF shoe-sucking creeks (I came *real* close to losing one, dude next to me was not as lucky 👀 😅👟🙏). The remainder of the course consisted of tons of ⬆️📈⬇️, single track pathways, rad views, and even a water crossing.  Our fate in terms of weather was better than it could have been. Luckily the rain fell the day *before* we ran, but boy did it. Saturday was nonstop torrential downpours. By Sunday morning it had mostly passed, but left us with easily the muddiest course we’ve ever tackled (picture ice skating uphill with a 50lb sandbag, good times 🤣) 1 medal snagged, 2 more to go to complete the 2026 Spartan trifecta. But next up, Tough Mudder Philly. Last year I was forced to sit this one out due to injury and being there was bittersweet. I was of course happy to support my brother Steve Jones but having to do it from the sidelines stung. I’m stoked to get this one back. 2 weeks till go time 🏃⏳ 💪 #SpartanRace #Trifecta #ToughMudder #OCR #FightTheGoodFight

@monsta.toys and I were invited to contribute work to Clutter Gallery’s flagship exhibition [IN]ACTION FIGURES 13. We decided to go big or go home and these bad boys are HUGE. Each standing over 2 feet tall and adding up to 4 feet of robot, they were a trip to collaborate on and a great learning experience. Using a mix of authentic, vintage Shogun Warrior parts with custom sculpted pieces led to a ton of interesting pivots, reverse engineering and swearing 🤬🤣. Seeing our idea go from inception to completion was a fun exercise in visual problem-solving and super rewarding. Last weekend’s opening in New York was a blast, the fine folks @cluttermagazine made us feel at home and really honored our work. It was a thrill to be included in a show with such fantastic artists. We’re cooking up a few things together for 2026-2027 and are stoked to continue working with them. Stay tuned true believers. 🤖🧠🎨💰🎤👉🏻🤛🏻💥 #Bootleg #ActionFigures #ShogunWarriors #RunTheJewels #AirJordan

So very pleased to be included in the upcoming 4X4 group show @nvfinearts . A fullest of thank-yous to the great @chris_dogt for the invitation. Opening reception Friday, February 7th. This new series was a way back to my narrative roots and a nod to that loose thread that I hope binds my personal work together. All of these faces and places come from the same long story crossing paths in a nearby and almost world. It was nice to make something in this light again. Sincere appreciation to all the models who posed for me to help bring these images to life. PEOPLE OF INSTAGRAM! Today is this girl’s BIRTHDAYYY! 🎉🎂🎁 Erica and I are in a particularly busy season of life right now. We are pulling all the levers and turning all the knobs trying to get to a better position for ourselves and each other. The unfortunate byproduct of this pace is that we basically never see each other. Erica is working so damn hard to crush our goals and I couldn’t be more impressed and proud. The people that are closest to me in my life, those that are inner circle, have one primary thing in common: Grit. Erica has as much, or more grit, than anyone I know. I’m glad she is by my side. When I miss her, I look at photos of her and it helps. So with that in mind, here is a bunch of pics of her being a total babe. Sooo join me in wishing @_eaglefit_ a happy birthday! HBD Hottie, you’re one in 500,000. Can’t wait to celebrate you. ❤️ #HappyBirthday #HBD #DOB #BirthdayGirl #GoShorty

For the last post of 2025 I thought I would flashback to one of my favorite memories of the year. In 2022 I had the privilege of visiting my brother Steve Jones‘ hometown of Livermore Falls in the great state of Maine. I ran my first trail race with him on that trip. We had a blast, I fell in love with the area and have been wanting to get back ever since.  This time, having at least a bit more experience, we returned to the race with hopes of faring a little better this go around. It was fun seeing a bunch of the same faces from the dedicated run club that overseas the course. Also fun that they remembered us. This time we were subtly upgraded from “Oh, we’ve got some flatlanders running!” To “Oh, hey, it’s those big guys”. We’ll take it 🤣 We ran hard. We weren’t last. Sometimes it’s good to be out of your element and in a new environment. They’ve got some legit off-roaders in that group and it’s inspiring to see. Hopefully next time I’m a little closer to the front of the pack.  The race is only a fraction of the reason we go. It’s as much (if not more) an opportunity to connect with Steve’s childhood home. We get to spend time with his family, visit some of his old stomping grounds and slow down for a couple days to catch our breath. Both times we were able to give his pops a hand with some labor, eat amazing home-cooked meals prepared by his mother and try some favorite local treats. We even got a lift in at an old-school gym where he used to train. It’s honestly the best.  The highlight this trip was seeing my first ever horse pull at the Farmington Fair (established 1840!). Watching the mammoth truck-sized horses pull jaw dropping amounts of weight was a thrill. We even saw a 100 year old record fall 🐴 💪 💯 Hearing stories of how the area has changed from Steve’s parents and listening to his dad’s anecdotes add so much to the weekend. Nothing fills me up more than new experiences and traveling to places I’ve never been. I love seeing authentic parts of the country and peaking at a different reality through half anonymous eyes. I hope to go every year the Jones family will have me. It’s a special place.  #Maine #TrailRun #2025 #GetOutThere 🌲🏃🌲

Before winter hit boston again, I ran my last spartan of the season at historic Fenway Park. @_eaglefit_ put together a crew of misfits to tackle the course. It was a great mix of old and new faces.  This one was different for a bunch of reasons: my first time joining a team, first time touching the green monster, first time running the shorter 5K/stadium edition. I even got to do push-ups in the locker room. Pretty wild. Certainly a great day for memories, not the least of which was getting perhaps my favorite friendship full circle photo with my brother Steve Jones and his daughter Sam. Lotta’ years. While I should’ve mostly focused on all the positives of the experience, the reality was, I was super disappointed in how I performed. Some days you have it, some days you don’t. I got my ass kicked on more obstacles than I would like to admit, and for whatever reason, it really got to me afterwards. Sometimes I am a little too hard on the man in the mirror. I’m working on it. Giving it some space and looking back at the photos helped my perspective and has me grateful for the smiles, friends, family, and first-timers that were out there with me. As we head into December, I’m looking towards 2026 fitness goals. I’ve gone back-and-forth on the idea of focusing solely on building strength and adding muscle. Then I considered running my first marathon. But something about the sting of the Fenway Spartan pushed me to want to get better at all the things instead of one thing. So this will be the year of the obstacle course race. I’ve signed up for a Spartan Trifecta and will likely return to at least one Tough Mudder event. Ultimately, I want to feel capable, agile and strong. And, I definitely wanna get back to that stadion course and crush it after a year of training. Could be the most thrilling/depressing decision yet lol. Wish me luck. 🤞⚾️🏃💀💪 #Spartan #SpartanRace #ToughMudder #Boston #Fenway #FenwayPark #RedSox #Monster #Obstacles #ObstacleCourseRace #OCR #FBF #Run #Hoka #Fitness #Wellness #Nutrition #Training #HealthAndFitness #Go #DoStuff #Move #GetOutThere #Hike #Dirt #FinishLine #NewEngland #IllBeBack #TerminatorVoice #2026

This years Turkey Trot went A-O-K 👌🏻 Not going to set any records but I’ll take the negative splits and the uptick in pace. Trending in the right direction at the end of the year is a good sign. Great crew for the 5k this morning and a nice memory added to what has become a holiday tradition for me. Now. All the foods.
