Thank you! We wanted to take the time to say thank you to all our customers, staff and community that have supported us this year and for the past 12 and a half years. It means the world to us that you choose us and support us. Coming from where Joe and I come from this was the sort of thing we only saw in shows and dreamed of. To have an idea/a vision/ a creative inkling and bring that to life and then have it take shape and become part of other people’s daily lives - I mean WOW! Every time we walk in the shops and see you connecting, working on your own dreams or just BEING, it just fills our heart. It’s exactly what we dreamed about when we were young and full of idealism for building something of our own in this city. There’s no where else we ever wanted to be or build in because we were from the greatest fucking city - New York City. We didn’t grow up with much, definitely no money or connections but what we did have was that New York dreaming, the hustle, the grit and ambition. We dreamed up Milk & Pull in my mom’s living room in Queens. And together Joe and I have built this business alone with your support. We have been building this business, our relationship and raising our kids all at the same time in this city. And we wouldn’t change one bit of it. Meeting you all, talking to you, learning about your lives and the small interactions in our shops continue to feed us and continue to make us dream. So THANK YOU! Thank you for riding with us and supporting us and taking the dreams of this Bronx boy and this Queens girl seriously enough to come and support us everyday. We appreciate you so much!

i’ve taken considerable time away from social media and apps to rethink, re-strategize, rest and process what my role is on and offline within and in support of our communities at-large. suppression and shadow-banning has forced me to reflect on the kind of impact i can make, with my art at the center at how i approach all of my work moving forward. enter The Writers Way, the new 2026 writing workshop collaboration between myself and my dear friends at bed stuy’s very own, @milkandpull ! kicking off friday january 16th (thank you @sadeinstereo ) i’ll lead us through a theme and prompt. each month, we’ll write, we’ll share, and build a writing practice that can sustain us throughout the year. new writers, veteran writers, authors, poets, essayists, all our welcome. but there’s more—continuing on with the needs of community, the workshops will have a monetary donation, but the donations are not in support of myself or the shop, but for community organizations and causes that matter. think of it as art/joy with a purpose. so, for the month of january, proceeds from your $20 suggested donations (we’ll gladly take more lol) will go to @cityharvestnyc . you’ll be writing in a safe, warm, connected environment while also learning and putting your dollars to good use not just for yourself, but others around you. no sign-up or RSVP needed. pull up, bring your pens, notebooks and your wallets, and for the cost of your spotify membership (*cough*), be a better writer, make some new friends, and help me help us find our way forward… together. if you wanna find me, from here on out, find me offline :)
