MIDDAY 10th Anniversary Fundraiser: Testimonials Michael is a MIDDAY inaugural teacher, a part of the first stages of developing MIDDAY classes. He is a long-time supporter of MIDDAY’s program and continues to be a part of our growth. Read more about Michael’s experience with MIDDAY below. “I am Michael Figueroa, a performer, choreographer, and inaugural teacher for MIDDAY with Callie Chapman and Irene Hsi. I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Performance and Choreography at Smith College. My experience with MIDDAY offered me the time, space, and consistency of a shared creative environment, deepening both my teaching and choreographic practices. It served as a vital support system while developing my dance company and as a space to refine movement scores, repertory and teaching skills that continue to shape my work. MIDDAY has grown through grit, integrity, and communal support into an ecosystem that nurtures both emerging and established artists. Supporting MIDDAY means sustaining consistency for a community committed to building live performance and cultivating pedagogical practice.” - Michael Figueroa Join MIDDAY Movement Series for our 10 Year Anniversary Gala on Thursday, June 18th from 6:30-9:30 PM at the Crystal Ballroom. MIDDAY 10th Anniversary Fundraiser: Testimonials Aiden is an alum of MIDDAY’s BIPOC Professional Development Program and a current Short Series Teacher. Aiden is also the co-director of TransDans. Read more about Aiden’s experience with MIDDAY. “MIDDAY has provided incredible support in personal and professional development and career navigation for me over the last year and a half! I am a former MIDDAY BIPOC mentee, have taught several professional classes with MIDDAY, and am in the current Rough Drafts cohort this summer. As an early career choreographer and dance educator, MIDDAY has helped me to begin my first professional projects, strengthen my artistic voice and values, and has made it possible to launch TransDans, which we would not have had the practical or community resources for without their guidance. I feel valued and supported by the MIDDAY community, and connected to the wider Boston dance ecosystem. I am forever grateful for the support, resources, and beautiful community MIDDAY is nurturing! Supporting MIDDAY means supporting a vast network of artists and community members, impacting not only artistic endeavors across Greater Boston and beyond, but increasing resiliency and community care in countless sectors of our interconnected world!” -Aiden Marshall Join MIDDAY Movement Series for our 10 Year Anniversary Gala on Thursday, June 18th from 6:30-9:30 PM at the Crystal Ballroom.
