last weekend, the BABYBABYBABY east coast tour came to a close back where it all started: in Boston, MA with an audience full of friends, family, and all other sorts of loved ones and community.
bringing this show on the road was one of the hardest things I have done in my albeit short career. The lows were deep and difficult and frustrating and demeaning and irritating and sad. But the highs - baby, the HIGHS - breathtaking, immeasurable, life-changing, life-affirming. I hope I get to make silly and devastating dances for the rest of my life.
I have said so many “thank you”s and “I love you”s over the last several months to the magic humans who bring this work to life, on and off the stage. To the friends - the babies - new and old, thank you, again, for all that you do. You make me a better artist human by being you.
Thanks to everyone who came to see the show - some of y’all in multiple cities - in Philly, Providence, Portland, and Boston! Every city was a big hug.
