▫️One of three corten steel and glass cabins in Ziedlejas wellness resort in Krimulda parish, Latvia. The cabin with fully glazed front is inherently adaptable and deliberately minimalist to encourage being mindful of the natural surroundings. Inspired by the tiny living movement and Japanese culture, Open AD designed custom furniture such as the foldaway double bed and pop-up tea table. Extra sleeping space is available on the mezzanine level. The cabin features a compact layout with a main living area, kitchenette, and bathroom, along with two fold-down terraces that expand the living space and connect the interior to the landscape. ▫️At just four meters wide Ana Rocha Architecture's wooden skinny house in Almere Poort, the Netherlands, has a frame that took only two days to build and occupies less space than a double parking slot. With a footprint of 16 m² (172 ft²) the micro home offers 50 m² (538 ft²) of living space spread over three stories. The wooden house called Slim Fit was quick to build and its light skeleton is designed to take up as little space as possible. ▫️Designed by Fabrication Studio and François Abbott, Copper House is an accessory dwelling unit (ADU) located in Toronto's Sunnybrook Park. This 60 m² (645 ft²) structure is clad in copper, allowing it to change color and texture over time, reflecting the natural cycles of the surrounding landscape. The design features a raised foundation on helical piles, which protects the root systems of nearby trees, while the interior includes a monolithic wooden core that houses essential amenities like the kitchen, bathroom and storage space with the rest of the program encircling it.
