Makeup artists showed up and showed OFF items from their beauty archives! Makeup Show n Tell last week with @depotchopra @michelleschultzmakeup @willowhouse.beauty We were screaming and ooh-ahh’ing all night! I brought a limited edition red Botan Box from @shuuemura with some collectible lashes including the infamous real mink lashes. And I had to embarrass @samfinebeauty and bring his book to sign (which he did!) Also repurposed a @makeupforever PR package and turn it into a dessert tray ❤️ @troysurratt brought the extremely rare Halston brush set and Calvin Klein makeup from the 70’s @nickyposley brought the iconic @shuuemura Nobara foundations. Truly a unique formula that you cannot find anymore @sooparkmakeup brought the iconic @madinaitalia highlight stick. The OG highlighter of makeup artists everywhere! @beautyxlolo brought the newest @depotchopra G Series bottles. Custom designed squeeze tubes with a square shape and slanted top for optimal kit organization @mayonebb brought the original @bobbibrown shimmer brick. Back in the day, it was the only shimmer highlight/blush topper of its kind @jewels.grogan brought a special palette of @bennyemakeup powders she got at their factory lab in Los Angeles @christinehahn brought the discontinued @covergirl blue eyeliner. If you know her, you know her for her flawless blue eyeliner. And this was the one she wore for years. She even opened one up from her backstock on this day to swatch for us! @marcwitmernyc brought the iconic @hardcandylife eyeshadow palette from the 90s/y2k era. Those of us of a certain age will hold a special place in our hearts for these shadows! @cpdartistry brought the original @maccosmetics paints that came in a squeeze tube. These were truly for pro artists back in the day. And still holds up in terms of colors and formula. @benoitmua brought the discontinued @diorbeauty Airflash and limited @shuuemura eyelashes. Including the amazing spiderweb lashes! @michelleschultzmakeup brought an @allure issue from 2005 with Britney Spears on the cover @alexiaguerra brought a very special @makeupforever @makeupforeveracademy palette which most of us have never seen.

Grateful for rooms that remind me that loving what we do is still possible. An unforgettable gathering of beautiful souls, bonded by our love for Makeup. We got to share beloved products from our personal makeup archive and the memories attached to them. It was so lovely to reflect and reminisce among makeup lovers in various stages of our careers. As someone who’s semi-retired from makeup application, this was such a good reminder of why we fell in love with Makeup in the first place. Thank you, New York, for kicking off Depot Chopra’s first (and hopefully Annual) Makeup Show Weekend.
