How do I pick my favorite photos??
1. Does it make you feel something?
2. Would I want to look at this in 5, 10, 50 years?
3. Family. Thing legacy and story!
4. Transportive moments, what takes you back?
5. My couples looking amazing. đĽ
Every photo from your wedding falls into one of these four categories.
1. Posed. Static, intentional, looking at set point. Think family photos or looking at camera.
2. Directed. The photographer sets the scene and directs the movement or action.
3. Candid. Unscripted, as it actually happened! Ceremonies and speeches, pure documentary.
4. Details. Everything that isnât people. The venue, the florals, the weather, the stuff you spent a year choosing.
Most photographers are great at one or two of these. The best are great at all four. đ
If you like this, give me a follow. Next up Iâm breaking down each one individually.
On your wedding day, this is what my team and I are thinking aboutâŚ
1. Making sure you look good!
2. Capturing the emotion/moments/real stuff
3. Creativity. How can we make something unique and special for you.
4. Vibes. Are you having a good time? Photos are important, but not the most important thing. If youâre having fun, the photos will reflect it.
5. Getting images of the VIPs (Parents, siblings, BFFs, Family & Friends)
6. Looking for the âin-betweens.â The moments between poses when everyone is relaxed. These are the best!
7. Timeline. Weâll make the most with the time we have. No need to miss the party!
And every wedding is different. I love talking with my couples to see whatâs important to them đ
