I still remember @michaelryu telling me he would never pick up running. EVER. Then one day, after going out to @koreatownrunclub to shoot pics for them, he was so pumped and decided to run a half marathon. I’m like “WHAT?! R U SURE?!”
And then he trained almost every day. I knew he was athletic, but honestly, I didn’t know if he was gonna be able to pull this off.
I can’t speak for him, but what I saw from him through this experience was a mental clearance that helped with whatever personal struggles he was going through. He was more happier and less stressed about the little things. He was more present with the kids than ever. I saw his endurance grow every day.
With that said, I’m so incredibly proud of him. Running was one of the best things that’s happened to him. As A would say, “appa run fast like a cheetah 🐆!” Can’t wait to cheer for him on his next one!!!! 🏃♂️💨
