This elopement was a special one. Not only was I able to witness the sweetest union, but being able to do it in one of the most gorgeous landscapes in all of California. Yosemite is living proof that God is the greatest artist of all time.

📸 Location recs in Oahu (from a wedding/engagement photographer)
📍 Makapuʻu Point Lighthouse Trail
If you’re visiting Oahu and want an easy but stunning shoot location, this one’s it.
2.5 mile roundtrip, fully paved, on the southeastern tip of the island.
AKA you can actually wear your cute shoes.
No dirt trails. No hiking outfits needed.
Most trails I take couples to aren’t exactly heel-friendly…
But this one makes it easy.
Tons of spots just a few steps off the trail with unreal coastline views.
Best time: Sunrise or about 1–1.5 hours before sunset.
You’ll want to get that golden hour glow and avoid the heat (there’s no shade).
Try to avoid weekends if you can.
The parking lot is small, but it clears out.
We went on a Friday about 1.5 hours before sunset and had no issue finding a spot.
Save this for your Oahu shoot 🌊
