Whenever I watch these back they feel like a journal, it’s so clear to me where I am physically + mentally at the time. Therapeutic in motion and reflection for sure. Self expressions a wonderful thing 🫶🏻
It’s been nearly 8 months since the last time I shared some dancing on this sneaky little grid.
I imagined my next post would be me dancing around in the woods as per usual butttt alas, here’s me in a concrete studio surrounded by beautiful supportive beings, dancing some choreo I was nervous to demonstrate.
I made this at 7am on top of a small mountain during sunrise, it felt glorious.
When sharing it, I felt like I was fighting myself for the freedom I initially found in making it. I enjoyed the fight a lot. Maybe even won it 💃🏻🍻

Tiny violin alert
3 months ago I tore my knee again. After two previous surgeries and some pretty sad times behind me, the prospect of another operation felt pretty rough physically, mentally and financially. I pushed it away and tried to dance way less but my knee became gradually worse as did my head. A few weeks ago I had a scan, finally went to physio and started proper rehab. I’ve been throwing love, good music and sweet sweet squats at it since and it’s feeling so so much better, as have I. (We coexist). This weekend I had a proper freedom filled dance on it and I loved every second.
This is just a couple snippets I filmed of that 3 hour dance, posted as a reminder to keep doing what I love, trust in my wiggly working body and do the god damn bum and calf exercises.
