My brand new show ‘Mother Nature’ premiered last week on board @msccruisesofficial & the village that made this one happen are an absolute dream. No words for my gratitude on how quickly we pulled this one together, with so much heart at the centre of its creation. Thank you x10000. I have been so close to forgetting that dance is resistance. It’s protest. It’s an act against a system that wants us to cower in fear and dissociation. Ok.. let’s announce our first teacher for MTP 2026.. @rickyjinks 🥹✨🥳 Back in 2023 he helped create the magic we still feel today and we are so honoured to have him back, he is returning home. 🏡 Ricky Jinks is a choreographer, movement teacher, and holistic practitioner with over 12 years of experience in the global dance industry. His work spans stage, screen, and fashion, with credits including Rita Ora, Kylie Minogue, Olly Murs, Wicked (Part One), the Paralympics, Good Morning America, Adidas, Stella McCartney, and New York and London Fashion Week. He is the founder and artistic director of Company Jinks, established in 2018, now a community of over 500 dancers. His choreographic work has earned Group Choreographer of the Year (2019) and multiple nominations in 2022 and 2023. Alongside his creative career, Ricky is deeply rooted in embodied and holistic practice. He is certified in yoga, breathwork, somatic trauma therapy, energy healing, and coaching, and is currently completing a Master’s in Consciousness, Spirituality, and Transpersonal Psychology, supporting others in integrating creativity, embodiment, and wellbeing. Term 9 💭 Last week we closed up our Autumn/Winter term & 9th cycle of company training. To keep our pillars of community, love and connection alive we now only open a company ‘container’ for 2 months, twice a year. Committed to quality, this means our professional program runs twice, usually Spring & Autumn. Within this 2 month period we have our weekly company class for members as well as open events for all. There’s some exceptions to this but for now this flow feels right. We’ve been asking more deeply what community is and what service looks like, moving slowly and intentionally. We have been merging our work with fundraising, volunteering and humanitarian work, growing relationships with local and international charities including Ealing Food Bank, Care4Calais, Bow Foodbank, Choose Love, Spitalfields Farm & Not A Phase and want to thank them for their amazing work. Prioritising connection, we’ve ran another Queer Club, Winter Session and our first choreographer showcase. After 8 years of this program - training over 500 dancers, I am clear on what we offer and know that it’s not for everybody. I trust that it calls in the right people at just the right time. Those who need it, find it. This 9th term has been a rollercoaster of experiences that’ve been anchored in love. So many tears shed - joy, pain & all the rest. A space to feel, discover, expand, be. Some people see success as a list of famous people but for me, facilitating these spaces feels like my deepest dharma and I would honestly do this if it was my last day on earth. I love these people so much it’s madness. Anyways, here’s a few random snippets (choreographers tagged). Applications will open on Feb 14th for our spring term (April-June). In 2026, we’re going to nourish our creative work as a company and deepen our service. But for now, some time off to reflect, re-align and plant the seeds of 2026. I hope you are connecting to your communities, it’s been quite literally life saving for me. To allow ourselves to be mirrored.
